Not an air failure but rather just completely cooked brakes. It’s a steep grade, not sure if you’ve ever been out here but there are some hills.
He was going across 3 lanes of traffic passing cars on the steep grade, sure seems like he was. Inexperience and/or arrogance is why he killed 4 people instead of using the runaway. lanePretty sure he was not a run away. I did not hear any engine braking, and when he flew past that car in the video is appeared as if he was on the throttle. That thing had some momentum.
Plus in one video he totally ignored a truck runaway zone, so my guess is he’s 1. A moron. And 2. Very inexperienced
Is there any info on him
The driver of that semi, Aguilera-Mederos, was taken into custody on four counts of vehicular homicide. These charges stem from interviews and evidence gathered overnight, Countryman said.
Aguilera-Mederos has a commercial driver's license, Countryman confirmed. Lakewood police confirmed Friday afternoon that he was in the U.S. legally on a green card.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety , one must either be a U.S. citizen or have proof of lawful presence in the U.S. in order to apply for a commercial learner permit in the state, which is a prerequisite for obtaining a commercial driver’s license in Texas. Commercial drivers must also be able to present proof of Texas residency and a Social Security Number.
Aguilera-Mederos' brother, Daniel Aguilera, told CNN that Aguilera-Mederos is Cuban and is a permanent resident of the U.S. He told CNN he spoke to his brother after the crash, and that Aguilera-Mederos said his brakes failed.
Aguilera-Mederos was injured in the crash, but not seriously, Countryman said. There was no evidence of drugs or alcohol in his system. He was arrested and taken to the Jefferson County Jail after being discharged from the hospital.
Your logic makes no sense, especially when you’re also calling him inexperienced. If he was 48 and had been driving since 23 years of age then I’d maybe agree something else was at play here.Yep. If it was a runaway use the runaway gravel stops. He didn’t, which leads me to believe he was not a runaway truck.

He also came barreling down the shoulder into the back of other vehicles. Not sure you’d do that not under the influence nor without some sort of vehicle fsilure
But you’re saying conflicting things. How does inexperience and/or arrogance not give reason to why he didn’t use the runaway ramp? You’re staying because he didn’t, that means he had zero brake failure. That’s flawed logic.Isn’t he 23 years old? So I think when I say he’s inexperienced that is a valid point.
Also semis don’t give a shit. I’ve seen them cut people off, run cars off the road and do whatever. Some drivers literally don’t care because well they will win in any accident. The engine weighs nearly what your car does.
