I picked up this 2018 1025r last winter.

PXL_20211017_173916646~2.jpg

Prior to it I ran this 1997 455.

The 455 was a legit workhorse but I wish I'd gotten off my money and bought a 1025r years ago.
This thing is ridiculous in how handy it is. The bucket is a legit back saver and the 3 point is very handy for moving shit around.
If you own some land and or are into landscaping get yourself one. Your body will thank you.

trying to get my ducks in a row with my snowblower right now. Picked up a 37a blower about the same time as I got the tractor.

My 214 doesn’t have a hydraulic lift and it’s not worth the hassle of trying to assemble a kit from used beat up junk for $500.

solution: harbor freight atv winch! I cut off 6” long section of 4” box tube, bolted the winch to that then the tube to the blower frame. I’m going to move the lift point on the blower so it’s a straight pull for the winch.

$90+ tax solution.

15 year old Boleans MTD 38” tractor. Got it free. It was my parents and they no longer use it. I just put some led headlights in it. My dad removed the original ones. I then used some yellow light wrap over the headlight for shits. Not a fan of the temp of the led lights. Also going to put a switch for the lights so I can turn them off.

Also as far as lawn tractor accessories
… I made a makeshift leaf drag tarp to attach to the back of the lawn tractor. Here is a shot of the rigging. It’s just a strap run through a piece of pvc and clamped to the tarp. I gave it a quick test this morning and it seemed to work well. I’ll give it a good workout later this week. Backyard is roughy 200x 125’ with 8 75+ year old trees in the yard.

That’s a solid idea if you can just dump them at the curb to be picked up

Since you're blowing and not pushing I don't expect much issue.
I was all gong-ho about making a ballast box for this thing. Thinking I’m going to wait and see how it actually does before I waste any time. Still debating filling tires too, each holds about 6gal.

I thought about filling mine but it makes it a pain in the dick if you ever get a puncture or other leak.

It’s not that bad. I have 110 gallons in mine and punctured one already. Leave the top 25% of the tire just air. Roll the puncture to the top, plug it, refill, and done. I used winter windshield washer fluid. Dirt cheap.

I second this. The tires on my case are fluid filled and it’s fine. Just repair from the top.

Between the weights and filled tires this thing doesn’t flinch lifting shit.

Put up my HF 10x10 temporary storage shed for the tractor today. I still need to sink a couple anchors to hold it down but a car battery, two big pavers and a 50lbs hunk of steel are keeping it in place for now.

rubber tire chains installed. What a PITA to wrestle on, my first time. Ended up taking the wheels off and deflating the tires.
