Have some time to investigate my front brake noise today, but my plan isn't going well.

Looks like I'm gonna have to wait on the 13" brake upgrade and spindle install as I don't want to HAVE to spend money on balljoints and hubs if needed as well as new calipers for the 07+ swap.

Lucky for me, I have some newer-used pads and rotors off a truck we parted out.

Ill Plan this better and order online the parts that may get destroyed doing this swap later on. Oh well...

I mean you could toss the nnbs brakes on regardless of knuckles.

Also I’m always fucking excited to see this bumped.
i want to get new calipers for that. as the ones i robbed off the wrecked truck at my buddies place are now growing fuzzy shit from the brake fluid(i think). theyre $65 each at napa.

but ill order all the possible shit i need and do all this stuff i wanted to later. right now its just getting it back together without spending what could turn into $700 in extras.

I snagged new China ones from Amazon for like $100?
if that was the only variable, i would have just pulled the trigger with the napa shit. but my lower balljoints look to be OE, and i dont want to NEED to replace those and possibly the uppers as well. and still have to pray that i dont damage the hubs with the spindle swap... but at least i soaked everything in Kroil... so when parts come in for that "maybe" thing, hopefully i dont actually need to use them. but at least i wont be desperate to buy *right now* from napa.....

A customer of mine works for bumper to bumper, and he's back dooring me all of the parts I need for the front end of this thing in lieu of me doing front bearings and brakes on his kids G6.

Still waiting for the brake pads, hub assemblies, balljoints, and tie rod ends to show up.

I'll take that deal. ?

I lazily looked for a nnbs exhaust for mine since our Tahoe is way louder and sounds good for being stock vs the Yukon that’s basically silent.
Speaking from experience, if you take a used muffler off a race car and make it fit your GMT 800 with whatever the fuck you have laying around in the scrap pile, it will last about 2 years...

I hope it lasts another 2 years with this "fix."

Although I am not happy with the way it sounds inside the vehicle. Oh well. For now, it works.
