Oh I’ve got zero faith in our union here. Their position is going to be “it’s a federal mandate, nothing we can do”

our company sent out an email today stating Biden will most likely implementing a mandate that all fed employees be vaccinated and all government contractors must also be vaccinated to do business with the federal government. so our company will have to comply or risk loosing all federal contracts. No timeline on anything yet but I’m sure it will follow suit with the Oct 31st deadline. Fucking ridiculous.

Considering Navistar is a truck Company that's been monitoring hours for 40 years now... And Ford just put their first hour meter on something in 05.....

Installed it in my parents bathroom a few weeks ago, will definitely use it on my entire house when I finally do the flooring.
I thought I used to like it, I’ve seen enough of it that it just looks cheap to me now. The higher end stuff is pretty good looking but you’re knocking on the door of hardwood prices at that point.

McAllisters deli for lunch.

Memphian and Mac n cheese.

Bought for me. Put battery in Co workers daughters car this am.
There is a McAllisters Deli in Harrisonburg, VA that I used to go to when I had to travel there for work. I could eat there every day of the week, everything was excellent. It was a highlight of going on those death trips. They opened one about five minutes from me which I was really excited about. Been to it three times over the course of a year and was massively disappointed every time.

A lot depends on the subfloor as well. Im on a slab, so laminates and LVP are the easiest to install. I currently have an enginereed floating hardwood that is a mis-match of different colors that I just bought on clearance as I completed rooms. I think LVP is going to be my best bet for my instance.

If I were on a wood subfloor which makes hardwood much easier, I would definitely lean towards that for sure. Especially because as you mention, some of the LVP prices are fucking crazy.

Super easy to install though.

My buddy is in the process of buying a house right now and it is tile everywhere and it drives me up a wall. Couldnt do it.

Did you know I pay less than $1100/yr on 10 acres
$10,500
Illinois.
Not a lot of commercial development.
Close to train.
Schools.
House is also more than triple what you said your sqft is.
Taxes are on par with everything else in the area.
There’s nowhere cheap in IL unless you’re truly rural and/or zoned AG.
