TURBO UPDATES START HERE - https://www.thechicagogarage.com/threads/01bluesnakes-2018-tt-gt350.173540/post-4278124

Sooo, couldn't wait any longer for my '94 cobra to be done, needed my fix lol. As seeing how my other turd box is moving away from 'street car' manors, I wanted something I could take out to shows, cruise, and just enjoy. I do plan to fuck this car up, so for any Shelby purists, this thread will not be your friend. I'm not a big road race guy, been there, and done that with some of my older cars. While fun, I like my short burst, lame 1/4 mile racing that takes no skill (kidding). Some may remember me, some may not, for those that do, you know what's coming lol.

I picked up the car a few weeks ago from Fargo ND, was a long trip but worth it. Car is bone stock, with 2600 miles on it. It's a lead foot gray, strip delete car, babied its whole life. Heres some pics from that journey. Left at 7am, got back at 3am that night. Was so tired, just pulled the trailer in the garage with the car and said fuck it lol.

How did you like the car in its stock form? Next year I will be on the hunt for a new sports car. Looking at everything from the C8 Z to the mustang line up to the ZL1 etc.

Curious how this car drove and made u feel prior to all the upgrades (as I will mostly leave mine stock)

I slacked to give an update in here on my turd, didn't see the questions till now, sorry for the late reply's
Jeez crazy Drew!

Speaking of exhausts, I'd love to quiet mine down a bit. Would you be able to build my an H pipe setup with resonators? Not sure if its something you even do...
Yes, it is something i can do, keeps lots of stainless in stock, including some 3" resonators.

Loved the car in stock form, probably one of the best combo's Ford has thrown together in a long time. I really debated with boosting or keeping it on motor, the car was a blast to drive even at 500whp. I could of gotten more out of it, but i knew even 550 wouldn't keep me happy for long. If i could have two GT350's, one would definitely be an all out motor car for road course. My main love is 1/8-1/4 mile racing, so geared the car for that, although could absolutely do road course or auto cross events. I didn't want to take away from the car by the mods i did. The biggest change is the rear knuckles out back, but still keep stock suspension geometry, so no change in handling. On the highway with my street wheel set, this thing is a blast to drive. The car drives better then stock, handles better, and moves the F out lol.

Two little upgrades this season are a new release MGW shifter and a Magnus clutch slipper. I was really interested with the MGW when they announced it is a non loaded unit, meaning no weird springs to add to shifting effort, or take away from ease of shifting like the stock one. I really really like this idea, all it does is essentially just get rid of slop for cleaner shifts. I dont have a problem with shifting the stock shifter, I actually prefer it over anything else out there. With that said, I do like to test new products, more so ones I see being a benefit without any negative. I ended up with the Magnus unit for the clutch, should really help knock down the 60 while reducing stress on the driveline over dumping the clutch, with repeatable settings to really dial the car in. My main goal is to really focus on getting the cars 60 and 330 set, then just pour the power in. The cars already trapping mph for low 9's, but the 60 is killing me. Once I get that all dialed in, gonna put it on kill and see if I can knock off some 8's stock motor.

I'm curious to see how this clutch tamer works out for you. I was thinking about getting the "manual" version for my car.
Also curious about the tamer.
I will give an update, and some videos with how it's working. From the research i've done, they work really good, but do tend to wear out clutches quick. It really comes down to power, slip time, and what kind of clutch the car has though.

Finally made an effort to get to the garage and work on my car, need to make sure I can make it to all these upcoming TCG events. Last year, I ended up breaking something in the driveline, first thought was trans finally ate itself, due to hurting 2nd gear prior outing. Over the winter found out it was actually the driverside axle. Since I had the beefy Ford Performance axles in, decided to go one step further. The Ford units will get sent out and repaired, since they are lifetime warranty, may keep as spares. I went with G Force outlaw axles with the upgraded exotic material stub end, and now to some pics.

Lets see how this works out. With all these sub 9sec cars coming out, gotta level out the playing field. Keeping all my stick stuff, just in case i hit any snags with the TH400 swap before the track day. Car may be stick, car may be auto, guess will see on track day. Car is also getting turned up, got ID1300x injectors and a new twin pump setup going in, should be 1200whp now. Will update when it goes on the dyno.

Proformance TH400 with 2 speed leave option and other little goodies. PTC converter might be a little spicy, set for no prep racing with a 6000ish stall, not exactly street friendly lol. Got a PPP shifter, but dont want to hack the console, so ordered a friendlier quarter stick from hurst. Just gotta measure for the driveshaft and get that ordered. Car has a factory trans cooler, so just gonna use that for now.
