What's the timeline for the cutover? Def sounds like the type of thing that would be weekly travel until it's done.
It sounds like a smaller acquisition so basically they sent over a router and dropped a fiber line. Router needs to be configured and then verify IP scheme and network accessibility. Make sure everyone can still see local network devices (printers, etc, etc) as well as see the overlord network. All in a full days work.
Not really complaining, just trying to catch it before "hey Carter..." and now I'm flying all across southern US and my job description still says "Travel:10%, local". naw'm sayin?
These are all landscaping companies being bought up. From the sounds of it, around 90% of these "acquisitions" are SOHO-style offices with Gmail, Google Sheets, and USB attached printers that are now getting the enterprise treatment of a local managed network.
If it becomes a consistent thing I'd def ask for a raise or tell them you didn't sign up for that, but for a one-time deal that'll take a day or two, personally I wouldn't even bring it up
