Hard to up sell when new one is already ordered and installed ?.

We don't stop and call for approval for nickel and dime shit. You know our labor rate, you know we're booked solid and not stopping for small bull shit. If it's part of us continuing on with a scheduled diagnostic(turbo issues here) then we're rolling.

Trying to get a concrete guy to pour me a patio. He said I would have to bury my sump pump pipe.

Question for you all. Is it standard to reinforce a patio with wire mesh or anything like that? The guy I'm working with says it's only necessary if you want to put something heavy on it like a hot tub. Otherwise, the two inches of gravel and four inches of fiber reinforced concrete will be plenty. My dad won't stop asking me if they're going to put mesh or rebar in it. He thinks I'm making a bad decision. I'm kinda leaning on the professional concrete guy with about ten years worth of great online reviews. lol What do you think?

Just put the second Delphi fuel pump in the fucking Dodge, this makes #3 in 3 months and it's dead out of the box.
This Chinese cheap fuck bullshit parts stuff is for the birds. I would gladly pay $300 for a fuel pump assembly that works and will live.
I am just glad that I didn't put the bed back on before trying it. I would have been fucking throwing shit pissed if this was a regular car that needed the tank dropped to swap pumps.

If I was running that discharge and then having a slab over it o would run a freeze style discharge pipe kit. Looks like this

helps in case the pipe in the ground freezes up.
So the pump just dumps in there and leaves the top open? The only thing I worry about there is how long my discharge pipe runs. It goes about 2/3 of the way through my yard and into the storm drain. I'd hate for an animal or whatever get in there and clog it.

Either that or bury it below the frost line... Because with how deep it is and now cold the concrete is gonna get that pipe is going to freeze.

My 3" corrugated drain pipe under my asphalt driveway froze last winter... I was a bit surprised. I have overflows sorta like the kit above so they did what they needed to do....

If you want the pad to last, it's a good idea to install mesh or rebar. If you might want to remove it, don't put any in.

I'm the guy that gets to remove it 20-40 years later, and metal makes it so much more difficult.

It will still crack, maybe even more so with metal reinforcement, however, it won't seperate and change elevations like non-reinforced has a tendency to do.
