Sooo, couldn't wait any longer for my '94 cobra to be done, needed my fix lol. As seeing how my other turd box is moving away from 'street car' manors, I wanted something I could take out to shows, cruise, and just enjoy. I do plan to fuck this car up, so for any Shelby purists, this thread will not be your friend. I'm not a big road race guy, been there, and done that with some of my older cars. While fun, I like my short burst, lame 1/4 mile racing that takes no skill (kidding). Some may remember me, some may not, for those that do, you know what's coming lol.

I picked up the car a few weeks ago from Fargo ND, was a long trip but worth it. Car is bone stock, with 2600 miles on it. It's a lead foot gray, strip delete car, babied its whole life. Heres some pics from that journey. Left at 7am, got back at 3am that night. Was so tired, just pulled the trailer in the garage with the car and said fuck it lol.

OK so this car is sick AF and you picked the best color ford haz ever made. But I have to ask, if you were planning to build a straightline car, why pay a $20k premium over a GT for a car that's designed for a road course? Am I only using this school of thought because I'm a cheap ass? I couldn't imagine paying big $$ for track suspension, brakes etc then removing all those parts make a drag setup work.

Like I said I love the car, just curious more than anything
Thank you very much. Theres nothing that stops the car from going on the road course, but this is my weekend fun car. I have another car im building that is strictly for straight line racing. The only actual suspension change up was the knuckle in back, but it keeps stock suspension geometry, so doesn't take away from the cars handling. The other suspension mods I did, are the same I do on the cars that road course as well. The car still has magneride, sway bars, and the brakes are road course rotors and pads. I didnt want to take away from the car, so was careful with how much I did and what parts I put on.

He's a business owner, so advertising and building credibility. People see cool stuff like this and want the same.

Yes and no, I always documented my cars before I even had the shop or worked on others guys cars, I just like doing it and showing people the process. I actually try not to advertise for the shop as weird as it sounds, I stay way too busy by just word of mouth.

So, got some good news and some bad news. Good news,, got the engine diaper on, hell of a tight fit for sure, but works. Got the lower aero all together and turbos tuck up great. The bad, had it on the dyno tuning on low boost and was running out of fuel. After a lot of hours, pulled the fuel hat and there is a sticky residue in the tank and on the pump assembly. Going to clean it all out and change the fuel filter, but might have to change the pumps if that has clogged them up. It could be the top end cylinder lube I add with the barrel E85, either way have to get it all cleaned out, and go back on the dyno. It is a no go for the track outing today, bummer.

This is why I switched from E85 to C16. Run 93 on the street and C16 at the track, E85 wrecked my fuel system too many times. Went through 3 sets of injectors, 2 fuel tanks and new fuel lines twice on e85.

My rebuttal to this I've run e85 for the past 6 years and haven't had a problem lol

I've run E85 for a long time, I think it was the additive I was using. Funny thing is I just switched up to VP's top end lube for E85 and methanol. I dont believe the Lucas stuff is stable with E85

Update on weight with the turbo kit on. I offset the total weight by going to the bias ply front runners, but still a little heavier then I want to be. K member will be next, but not expecting more then 20lbs to come off. I wanted to be 3600lbs with the kit on, will be pretty close, so still happy non the less. If I take from the previous non turbo weigh in of 3639, and pull off 30 for the bias tires, the turbo kit only added 35lbs. Since the car had full stock exhaust, the increase was more just the intercooler setup, and maybe a few pounds on the exhaust side.
