Save the unicorn, there is only one!

So, you're in the shark's natural habitat, not human's... he's just being a shark.

Though, instead of using a gun, just drop a concussion grenade into water.

My previous two employers caused my gray hair. The customers were the best part of the gig, and looked forward to working with them, well, most of them some. There’s always some asshats in the bunch.

This. It's the idiots in other departments fucking up my day causing me to fix their mistakes. My customers love me.

On my prior gig one of the locations I went to would hate to see me, because of the lack of support and response from the persons that used to cover the place. I went around with a legal pad and wrote down (somewhat legibly) all their issues, then left pre-printed forms for them to log new issues. Within two weeks I had 50% of their complaints resolved, that had been going on for over a year, almost two. After that it was lots of waves and handshakes when I got there.

Put a spinner knob on the tractor too and that was a huge help driving around everything. 25 trees on the lot. Pre cut around everything with the push mower but still a PITA.
That’s what I have to do, weed eat/trim/edge around all the trees, plants, and flowers, then push mow what I know I won’t be able to get with the rider. Then finally run the rider around to hit the main areas. Takes me about 90 minutes to 2 hours as I’m doing my yard and my neighbors. Have a fence between the yards so lots of back and forth around the front of the houses.

There are about 5 guys that will ONLY talk to me. Even if they have a machine down, they won't email either, has to be on the phone. which is sometimes easier do to back and forth questions. I'm trying to get them more open to my team because I'm so busy right now. But boomers will be boomers.

Oh fuck. FIL has a herniated disc that’s touching the nerve. Apparently it’s so bad surgery is absolutely necessary, and this is from a doc my wife knows very well. Not some shyster looking for $$
Fuck.. Now he'll never get to hauling out those 12 boxes of better homes and gardens magazines spawning from late 80s

the battle never ends.
Half my yard is weeds right now. No one lived at the house for two years before we bought it. So typical lawn service come in and run shit over 100mph and get out. I prob won’t invest any money into doing anything about weeds this year, too much other $100 here $100 there shit to spend money on.

Ive been walking the yard every couple days and pulling any thistle, overly large broadleaf plantain and dandelion that have started shooting up stalks, making them easy to find. Got over 100 dandelion just on one tree ring last night :wtc:

I’d just cut it for the year and call a lawn service to spray. I haven’t done it in years since we don’t have to deal with lawn shit here but took care of all the weeds with just a few applications and wasn’t a lot of money.
That’s the plan. I’ve got too much yard to have a golf course. It would be endless maintenance DIY. Spray and pray.
