I need some help getting my kitchen back together... Long story short, we flooded and had to cut out drywall/insulation to dry everything off. Need someone to come in and drywall 1 wall, a small pantry and 1/3 of my kitchen ceiling (like 2 sheets). The plan was to do it w/ my father in law but then my wife had to go and pop out our little one 6 weeks early so I just don't have the time or energy to do it.

I'll even take someone to just come hang it, I've got a painter that's going to finish the rooms when it's done.

Thanks guys!

Ranting in this "Drywall" thread.

Called up a local (in Yorkville) place that does drywall for an estimate on redoing the basement. He suggested that he'd roll on plaster for most of the walls and face a few of the current walls/ceilings with 1/4 drywall. Took measurements and info, said the office would email an estimate. That was nearly2 weeks ago, nada.

Found another guy, through a coworker/friend of my brother in law. Set up time to have him give us the same estimates as above, no call, no show for the estimate appointment last night.

Yeah, I could call and follow up on both of these, but I'M NOT THE ONE RUNNING A BUSINESS and not following through.

I got one of those mailbox inserts with ads yesterday and on the front was a remodeling place, so I sent an email for an estimate, we'll see if they follow through or not and I will be going to Craigslist next if I get no responses.

I just want my theater basement more ready for when I get my seating next month (unless those are delayed)
