I've had 3 people bail on me so far this weekend. I got the parts all packaged and ready for shipment. I send the final total with shipping included and my PayPal address. Then I get crickets. Also, someone was supposed to come look at a shortblock today and now silence. This is exactly why I normally hoard parts.

Put some wheels up on CL last night, the first text response is all red flags;

1) email me at some Gmail addy
2) the langauge... please contact me if these wheels are still "attainable."

Really, "attainable"? These aren't that expensive. It's not like you're going out and securing a loan with your house to get these.

I've recently had a similar exchange. I'm trying to sell an SBF intake manifold, listed for $500. I had a dude tell me he's interested, gives me his zip code for a shipping quote, and then he goes silent. I ask if he's still interested and he tells me my price is too close to a new Holley Hi Ram. A high ram is $900. That's almost double the price of my intake, but okay lol.

This was a good read. I had to come in as I am selling a car on FB and it has become comical. I have a couple of funny ones and not so funny:
“Can I come drive the car first”

“You know that is way to much for a Mustang”, “

“Is the car Gray”

“So being a GT500, it has 500hp”

“I will give you more$$ to hold for a month”

“Can you deliver”

“Can I return it if I don’t like it”

Facebook Market Place could have its own Sitcom.

One of my favs is when someone posts something for sale and uses a photo of a photo for the sale pics or uses pics from a computer monitor, or this.

The only picture you can see is an engine that's not from their car. :bowrofl:
