I also tried to load Klipper over Marlin....didnt go as planned and reverted back.

I got it working but my first print failed when going to print and found I would have to change all my G-code start and end for all my profiles....and after 6 hours of fucking with it I just reverted back to Marlin in 5 mins and said fuck it for now.

Played with TPU last night and made myself a phone case. Fits pretty good but still need to dial in the TPU quality and fix a few alignments if going to make it a permanent case. Also not sure if I care for the honeycomb pattern, I just printed the only one out there for my phone lol. I can go in and edit my own later.

Nice! Yea not the coolest design

no issues with the Bowden tube?
So I have a stock Bowden tube, but I did the hot end mod and have a piece of capicorn and the spacer in there.

First test cube had zero issues with PLA settings other then a little hotter, I was extremely surprised and happy with the results. But that print also has zero retractions....which brought me to my first TPU failure when doing a regular print.

First time it bunched up in the extruder (I have a metal extruder) but that was with only changing the speed from 60 to 30, all others the same.

After I ran it again but this time turned retraction to only 1mm and I was either 25 or 30mm/s speed wise and it printed just fine but I did get some stringing that I cleaned up.

Fun thought -

Find a way to take peoples' pictures and make little PEZ dispenser heads out of them.
So it wouldn't be that difficult. 2 hardest parts would be getting a good 3d scan of their head and then keeping the quality good enough with a FDM printer when printing that small to make the head look good.

Do they even make PEZ anymore? Doesn’t seem like a worthwhile adventure.

O hell yes. Huge collectibles market. New items coming out all the time. Same collectible mentality of Hot Wheels collectors.

Been playing around with PETG and think I finally have a decent profile. Prints pretty good, good adhesion and minimal stringing. Although I did have to use masking tape on the build plate.

Now to print a few things to use in the car. The videos of PLA in the car was not good so I wasn't even going to bother wasting the plastic.

Now apearing in Hanover Park
Coming out of TCG retirement.... I picked up an ender 3 pro durring Christmas 2019 and it's quite modded now. Direct drive, ABL, sensor less homing, etc.... Not in photo condition though as my SKR mini burned out and my current SKR 1.4 turbo is on the desk next to the printer, lol I'll try and grab a pic of it later

I have the spring steel sheet with PEI and PETG sticks well if I get the bed up to 70* ish

Very nice. I've been slacking on converting to direct drive and adding my bltouch. Maybe this weekend. Printer has been on toy duty/party things lately and couldn't bring it down. I am also running the SKR 2.0 board which could use a firmware update.

I did pick up a stick-on PEI sheet and put that on top of my glass bed...and finally had some good adhesion with PETG first try.

PLA sticks to it like a dream though. Every single print has been perfect adhesion wise. And it gives me a crazy glass looking bottom.
