The front LCD should tell you what's up. Or plug it into a computer.Usb port on the back, probably uses a printer USB cable

If you got nothing on that and it just beeps, it's either a bad battery inside (which you can swap, usually 12v 7ah or 12v 9ah) or it just shit the bed.

Also make sure you have power of course.

UPS is a temporary power solution should an electricity related outage occur. It’s to provide power should there be an electrical blip or until the site generator engages.

Typically critical site IT devices (I.e., network) are connected to a UPS.

Yes. It keeps things running if you have brown outs or spikes otherwise the equipment may reboot during those events or die. That model has AVR which is automatic voltage regulation so regardless of the grid power, the devices get clean stable power. It's one of the best things you can do to make electronics survive longer.
