So I am just done with Chain boating or lack of actual boating..... and it’s time to move to the big lake. So, as much as I love this boat it will not work for Lake Michigan. I will be dropping boat off on Sat to Grand Sport Center and Put on consignment. She will be missed

How much are you looking to get for it and what motor does it have? Might have someone who may be interested

Well I was going to sell what GSC recommends to see it for. I was thinking in the area of $27k. It has a 454MPI. Not a really fast boat 55-60mph but has always been reliable. Killer stero system installed by Bill at Audiosmith. All the interior was replaced 3 seasons ago. Boat is 25'

Yea I don't want to sell but I just am so fed up with the Chain. The wife and I have been thinking of have a boat n Lake Michigan for awhile and this past COVID and now the chain closed for flooding I still have boat stored inside.

it's a rain/climate issue more than a chain issue at this point. you see all the boats that got destroyed downtown with this past rain system that came through?

It really is a nice boat. I have owned it for 8 seasons. Always been service at Skunk Works Marine. Stored indoors and boat has sat on a lift also. Crap!! I have a lift for sale also!

Lake Michigan has water issues also... Diversey has no bridge clearance for mostly any boat with a radar arch. The rest of the Chicago harbors have flooding issues in the parking lots depending on what way the wind is blowing. The break walls are barely visible anymore. If Chicago harbors didnt have floating docks they would be in trouble. Some harbors elsewhere you can't even get to your boats anymore because the water is over the piers.

That boat is fine for lake michigan if you watch the weather. But really you should watch the weather in any size boat. It can take a turn for the worst quick. It can also get rough around Chicago from just boat Traffic.

yea I understand there is no perfect scenario but me personally I am just done with the chain. Yea I know about clearance at some harbors under bridges at this point but I would want to be either at 31st or way up at Winthrop. I haven’t really looked at harbors within downtown and not saying I wouldn’t be open to those options either. Like Yaj Yak Yaj Yak mentioned, I would want a boat with A/C and something comfortable to stay over night on.
