Aw shit I didn't see it's a 2WD 5.3. Throw some valve springs+7-10 PSI at it and call it a day I bet we'll all be moderately surprised at what it holds up to. If you feel frisky maybe a cam but I don't know that I'd spend the money personally. Walbro makes a "Hellcat" pump that's over 500lph if I remember right. I'd want to run some AN to the front to make that happen because I'd think the stock fuel lines risky back pressure wise but what the hell do I know.

i have a 04 LM7 that i crammed a SS2 bump stick, ls2 hd chain, and ported oil pump on, along with the PAC 1216(i think) springs.

i went to look at a set of OE 22s in plainfield.. 700 bucks, dude said no peeling...
they were all peeled on the backs..
Not surprised, lol. Buddy just drove all the way to Detroit for a 88 Caprice. Guy told him in the phone the undercarriage was super clean and sent him pics. Drove all the way out to see it had holes in floorboards. My buddy said he must have sent pics of a different undercarriage lol.

Cluster is fucked.
Went to fix the tach stepper motor and I know it's right, the board must be broken somewhere. It's clear someone else has been into it before me.

Maybe I'll find one of them cluster repair places local to try before I buy on ebay

Pretty sure Dasfinc Dasfinc has had success repairing these.

I have; and have spare parts here no less, I've fixed a handful of them.

daturbosix daturbosix what specifically did you attempt repair wise?

another stepper died some time ago, this time for the tach, so i went in like anit no big thang.. and looks like there was some toastyness on the board around it.. i replaced anyway, but one "peg hole" wasnt taking the solider. so i bridged it(just like i had to do to the trans temp last year) and the tach still doesnt work. its gotta be something in the layers
