The aprons and everything are still in it, I gotta get that shit going next actually. Need to get an argon tank for the mig welder I bought and start getting to work in the engine bay....

Anywhere locally that sells a smaller tank of argon mix cheap? I can find them on amazon full and delivered for $320 for 80 cu ft tank and 75/25 mix...

I got my tanks and gas from AirGas supply, they have one in West Chicago. $320 to the door isn't great imo for a 80. I think I paid 200 something for a 150cu. I'll have to double check my tank size but 80's are small.

I’ll have to give them a call and see how much it is to buy a tank there then, I thought the $320 sounded good but if I can get a larger tank for less that would be ideal.

Ask yourself how much your going to weld and size the tank appropriately, I still haven't gone in the garage to doublecheck my tank size but I want to say it's a 125 or 150 at least. You see how much I weld and I only go through a tank about once a year. If the tank sits around too long when you go to refil it you will be charged a new tank since it will have lost it's certification.

Hell save yourself some trouble bring that cobra over to my house and I'll cut and weld in what you need.

Im honestly just going to be doing all the shit in the engine bay, nothing crazy.... I’m guessing the 80 would be enough.

You are all missing that the gen3 is a dual injected engine.

Its got direct injection and port injection.

i highly doubt youll be using a dual fuel system and sure it can be tuned to run port injection only but the COST is not going to be worth it. Youd have to plug the direct injectors in the head or just leave them in and go port injection for fuel only.

That being said it be cheaper to buy a gen1 or gen2 coyote mustang or F150 engine and put cams and a CJ intake manifold on it. I 100% promise you 8k rpm 450ish + whp with a 6R80 in a foxbody will be a damn riot!

Stick with Gen1 or Gen2 and 6R80.

FESTER665 BADAZZTEALCOBRA

id honest to god buy a F150 engine with a 6r80 and make sure the car runs and drives before id spend a nickle on cams cj intake go fast parts whatso ever.

Also look up POWER BY THE HOUR!

for plug and play swap harness and coyote fox parts.

Or else youll be in the same situation as the pushrod engine.

Im definitely going to be picking your brain on more of the wiring shit in the near future. Might have to come up and take a look again at your stuff.

Most likely staying NA with it, but never say never when it comes to boost if the funds ever get replenished.

I remembered you saying the timing was pretty easy when you put in all the MMR stuff, I'll definitely keep that in mind.

Realistically, I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the blue one I posted last page. I talked to them and theyre working with me on the price so we shall see.
Definitely hit me up before buying parts. I have a lot of spares and stuff you might want. Example : I have the PBH bracket set up and belts that would let you keep AC. Anything I have left over is going in the "please get this out of my garage" pricing plan so let's talk before you buy accessories!

I have definitely narrowed it down to a Gen 2 build.

I'm really looking into the engine I posted a few pages ago, would need to put down a deposit so I can go get it next Friday.

Sorry, but this is going to be a fun street car, 6r80 and 10r80 will not be making an appearance. It'll be a T56 Magnum 100%.

Ive been researching like CRAZY on the PBH site, and even started watching their live web shows and chiming in on them. already found out my Hydratech setup will work perfectly with their speed drive setup, and will likely be going a few other routes as well.

Thanks for adding to the conversation though. Im actually excited to be talking about building the damn car again so thats a good step in the right direction!

Message me on here or FB or text if you still have the number and let me know all you have and we'll see how much I can take off your hands.

Speaking of which, hey cap42 cap42 If you look at the fron radiator support, I want to fill all those holes when I smooth out my bay. Do they make sheet metal holes of random sizes, or would you trace it out and cut it out to make it fit, or how would you plug those holes?

It looks like all the Scott Rod stuff is all 22 gauge steel, so maybe I just grab a sheet of it and cut out all the sizes needed?

Just a Gen 1 F150 boat anchor for GLADIATOR GLADIATOR to hate on. :s00ls:
It’s beautiful! I wonder if you can find out how much the total cost for his swap was? Whenever I hear “saving money” on a project, it’s an oxymoron. How much do you think you will spend on your coyote swap, serious question?

The swap can be done fairly cheap, especially if its an f150 motor,it can be done for 8gs or less depending on car
