This year we are making the tour more about the drive/scenery/comradery and less about a destination spot. We really like the idea of following the Mississippi on 35 up Northwest to the Minneapolis area, from there run further Northeast into Wisconsin, and catch the Kettle Moraine drive back South. We feel heading along these roads will give us the most scenic experience and fun roads. The weather should be pretty ideal with highs in the mid 60's and lows in the upper 40's. The time of year should have the leaves changing colors too.

If any of you have experience with the area we would love to hear.

Is this route going to be Tesla approved? We have seen an influx of them lately... Not sure if it is a do able thing to accomodate but I thought I would throw it out there...

We welcome all Tesla owners to come along, but encourage them to make their own plans for recharging........That's my TCG Corporate statement on the matter.

They can bring trailers and a generator to charge them as needed.

People on the last one day trip to Wisconsin cried when E85 was mentioned. I can't imagine when electric car charging is thrown out there as a must plan around when in the middle of nowhere. haha

The TCG statement should encourage a Tesla to tow a diesel generator along the tour route.
That was my suggestion in post #9

They could use solar power trailer station instead?
