What kind of bed rug is that? I kind of want one.

:werd:

More importantly, when is the GLD truck night? I'm looking to hurt some feelings :io:

we should actually plan this.

Does this thing have a trailer behind it yet?

well duh. it's broken in now.
There is a better chance any truck on this site has been to Starbucks 1000 more times then pull a trailer.

Did you get the pumpkin spice?

sup.

so gm talks about trying to make the "trailering experience" all around better... between the trailer side cameras, the rear cam for the back of a trailer... and then little shit like this:

trailer light test... so fucking simple but so awesome to have. push a button and the lights cycle through this repeatedly til you stop it.

knows the trailers- i know/think other domestics do this too. slick to be able to monitor mpg... trans temp gauge pops up automatically on the main screen while towing.

then this, this is fucking awesome. most rear cameras are angled upwards and backwards- gm has that one and then this one aimed STRAIGHT down. can check while moving too which older models you couldn't.

i got the bigger rear storage container dealio installed yesterday. a lot more usable storage here. i do wish it folded flat like fords, but this will likely always have shit in it so...

whend you get an f150?

wouldn't a new colorado or ranger have more towing capacity and payload capacity than your "truck"?

i only use my truck when i need the bed, or to tow something so? i think whatever drunken grandprat math you're using puts us even? or am i ahead since i tow things?

What do capacity and payload have to do with a truck being a truck? No matter what it can tow and haul, it's still a tuck, Mr. Truck McTrucken.

And of course I have towed with it. It's a freaking truck! Drrrrr

I know you said 6.2 trucks with standard beds are hard to find.... but Laura GMC has 38 of them in stock.
25 of them arent black or red

https://www.laurabuickgmc.com/Vehic...rd Bed&bodyColor=Blue,Brown,Gray,Silver,White

I'm interested to hear your towing report after big sky country also.

Only 11 slts

At4s can't have max trailer package.

I'm unsure if Denali can or can't have max trailer package but denalis are WAY more expensive than slts with way fewer promotions currently.

Black and red were absolutely a no go.

Silver and white were not deal breakers but not desired at all.

All this dealer has is white and silver.

Not to mention I really didn't feel like playing trade games with a dealer five hours away when I had very little time as it was to get it done.

i've had this two weeks now

it now has ~3300 miles on it.

we went to wyoming for vacation with a tandem axle 18' enclosed trailer and our sxs in it.

since friday, the 6th, every mile i added to it (2900?) was with a trailer.

towed through 8-10% grades, set the cruise at 80 mph for most (if not all?) of south dakota, saw almost 100* temps outside, ~10k ft elevations, and yeah, the thing just took anything thrown at it. trans temps never exceed ~160 or so.

im 90% sure you could set the cruise control at 100 mph with the trailer and mow down mountains. it has such stupid power and coupled with the 10 speed- the ability to hit 5k+ rpm on nearly any downshift, the thing's a rocket ship that never runs out of power. my sxs felt a lot slower 5500ft-10k... the truck felt just a touch slower/less power.

the truck's gradient braking is RIDICULOUSLY awesome, it's seemless, it doesn't over rev the truck, brakes don't heat up crazy, and keeps truck basically putzing down these gnarly ass mountains without much input. was really amazed by that.

i had one hiccup leaving town friday- the infotainment system- for lack of a better word- "froze"- wouldn't change radio stations or audio inputs. a few minutes in i pulled over and found out i could cancel/close apps and then i was good to go.

best tank mpg i saw was 13.5 yesterday driving through the wisco hills. worst i saw was saturday morning, in south dakota, i had a tank that got 7.9. i was going into about a 25-30 mph headwind, in the rain, and running 80mph. overall for the trip was 11.0 mpg- again. every single mile with a trailer behind it. mostly an 18' tandem enclosed, some trips with a 14' single axle open utility trailer. (way easier to load the sxs on here than in the enclosed for the short trips we took)

the thing is currently absolutely filthy. im excited to get the trailer off of it, and get into really cleaning it inside and out.

really anxious to see if removing the running boards, and running all these gravel roads at 30-40 mph was a bad idea and if i chipped my rockers or not.
