Just a little tid bit of info here, but Stanley Black & Decker owns Proto and Mac Tools. These are some of the best hand tools out there. This isn't to say that the DEWALT stuff is made in the same place, but a lot of the engineering/technology transfers into these sets. This should be a really solid set.

What I need to know is, how many pieces fall out of their spots when this thing is moved? It drives me nuts on the one I have now. I tried putting another piece of cardboard between the two sides to help keep everything in place.

And I'm missing my 10mm....

if you open it the correct way- with it laying flat with dewalt logo up, every time, none will move anywhere.

if you don't

mayhem could ensue.

They also have Crapsman now, so the brands are probably being diluted. :D

same

I like the additional ratchet clicks..

I'm gonna damn near say this is worth it just to keep in the trunk of every vehicle you have on the road if anything else.

One thing that always bugged me about “everything” sets like this is it’s always missing the socket size I need or whatnot. I’ve got a blue point version of this that’s nothing but 1/4 and 3/8 sockets and torx. That and a little Milwaukee bag with standard and metric wrenches, a 2 pound sledge, pry bars and screwdrivers that were all Black Friday deals. Yeah it’s two things to carry instead of one but it’s much more complete. It has saved my ass countless times. Sets like this are a must if you travel a lot.

We carry the name and that is all we wanted. Say what you want, but that brand has crazy growth right now through all their lines cordless power tools and hand tools.

I am going to go a little Trump on you right here, but we really are making the brand great again. :trump:

Which is where we got shafted in the sale. I argued we should've gotten more for that trade name as that is what was valuable. Same with Kenmore and Die Hard as we routinely shop those around.

It's growing crazy because SBD is actually marketing the product. Something we didn't do and something we refused to sell outside of our own store network because we (not me, the business owners), felt would steal/bastardize from our own sales. Very short sightedness here at this place. It all goes back to the mindset of "this is the way we've been doing it for 100 years, so we're not going to change..." mentality. And that is why we fail. Well, 1 of a myriad of reasons, but...

The craftsman hand tools look identical to the cobalt stuff
