Sorry it’s not a twin turbo this and that thread. It’s a boring thread. That’s my life now a days. I’m a big fan of the first generation 99-07 Ford Super Duty. I just really like the exterior styling. Of course the interior could have used some help but it is what it is. My current 2002 F250 has been the undisputed champ of reliability. With only 215,000+ miles, it’s had no motor or sensor issues. Trans works as it should. Ice cold AC. Minor leak from the rear diff and a new starter recently. My only real issue is rust. The underside of my truck looks as if it was resting on the deck of the Titanic. It’s bad. Really bad along with body and bed rust. I’m surprised the bed is still sitting flat.

Looked around on Auto Trader and other sites looking to replace my truck. Searched in a 100/200 mile radius. Every first gen Super Duty in the $5k on Up was rusted and not well taken care of. I looked at other cars and trucks but I kept wanting another first gen Super Duty.

One night while browsing eBay I came across a 2006 Super Duty located in Texas. Zooming in on the pics. The truck looked rust free. It was owned by a local fire dept near the seller. It was exactly what I was looking for. Basic amenities inside, two wheel drive, reliable 5.4, no holes from lights, a cap and well taken care of. Seller has 100% feedback rating since 2004. Messaged the seller some questions, pricing and such. So I took a leap of faith and bought my first automobile online. I was pretty nervous about it. The seller was awesome to work with. He was not pushy and helped me along the way. Took care of setting up delivery to my house. The experience was very good.

Drove it around today after some nitpicking type of cleaning. And it’s fanfreakingtastic!! Smooth, quiet, trans shifts great, no steering wheel slop and everything works correctly. Great stuff. Just need to clean out my old truck and sell it.

Well that’s my long and boring story and I’m sticking to it.

Out with the old.

It’s lanolin which comes from sheep and is all natural :dunno:

It’ll keep everything from rusting but will need to be applied like once a year.

no, not talking about what its made out of lol

i had a customer that would spray the underside of his dodge diesel every season, i had to do a clutch on it. it was a nightmare. i added a thing of floor cleaner and a tub of hand soap to his bill.
