R&T - 14 Cars That Should Have Never Come Back

Ford thunderbird..... absofuckinglutly! God that thing was hideous.

I liked the cougars back in the day for what they were. I mean I was prob in high school so a lot of stuff I thought was “cool” but I liked em

I’m also a fan of the new taurus SHO

I tried to make an argument against each one of them, but I could really only get one with the Taurus. I loved the SHO, even though everyone hates the interior so much. I'd like to get one some day as the main daily.

Is it shitty tho? The new Blazer? The fucking Cougar? Malibu SS? Should I continue?

The issue is the names are used because the general public is a bunch of mouth breathing knuckleheads who recognize former marketed names with nostalgia and love... so manufacturers name whatever the fuck they come out with with those old names and people are like ZOMG IM BUYING A NEW BLAZER IT'S SO COOOL

like when they named the ford 500 the ford 500 for a while, changed the name to taurus and OH WEIRD IT'S SELLING BETTER NOW.

That cougar blowed absolute dick.

I'd take nearly every car on the list before one of those shitboxes.

list really shows how people forget about the shit cars with good names too. there were plenty models of impalas that sucked, eclipses were cool? no they fucking weren't. blazers? yeah everyone conveniently forgets these turdboxes that shared that name.

I'd take nearly every car on the list before one of those shitboxes.

It was based on the Contour. They were unremarkable

The badge engineered Cougars based on the Thunderbird were also fairly unremarkable.

But really, name a Mercury vehicle from their last 30 years, and show me something that was worthwhile, that wasn't available as a Ford.

Haha, I completely forgot about the Marauder when I wrote my original post, but yeah, the lone semi-shining star from the Mercury line. I mean, there's a reason it got axed. It was all badge engineered garbage

i mean, like basically everything after 1970 was.

turds. but most axed co-brands can say the same. what decent oldsmobile was there from 1970-til their death.

an 80's 442? gag me.
