I want to get my sister in law remote start for her 2015 Honda Civic. Anybody here install them on the side or can recommend a place? JDHedman, you still doing these? Also would need to know what unit to purchase if you can assist with that as well. I like the simple lock/unlock/start/aux functionality of the Viper unit I have. Thanks!

Down here we don't use them much. No cold that's worth it if you have heated seats. Guess we could use them for the A/C but we're used to the heat so it's not a big deal to wait a minute for the car to cool off.

Had one in Amy's car and she never used it.

For cold, I can definitely see the advantage. I did not like cold mornings and cold cars.

Just FYI, with newer cars, the systems are like plug and play. You pay a little more for the convenience but you literally plug one thing into another, bam, you have a remote start. I would look into it at least. It seems like the days of solder and laying on your back are gonzo, especially for a car that was new 3yrs ago.

^^^^This.
It’s not always that simple but in a lot of newer models it literally is plugging one module into another then a reflash of the BCM at the dealer. The problem is the cost of those factory modules.

That’s very helpful. Thanks Cliff.
