So after all the BS with the fords and their crap service dept I stopped at a local Hyundai dealer to check out a little kia suv. It was nice but I couldn't use the 3rd row because the seat won't fold down with the car seats. So they kept trying to sell me some brown one with no options..but had a white one with all the options for $700 more. So I decided to get it...then the wife came to see it and she decided to buy it.
They had another white one but after hours of searching nobody could find it. They think it was stolen. So I was going to leave with nothing. Then he finds another white one I drive it and like it. He didn't know the price but it was turbo with less options. Next thing I know the paperwork is done and this is $7k more. Nope...So I was going to leave with nothing then they pull up this black one.
2014, 36k miles. Fully loaded. 3rd row seat, bench seats in the back, air conditioned front seats. More than I wanted to spend but I got it with a decent rate, gap insurance and 100k mile warranty.

I love it so far. It's a little different than the Ford Fusion and escape. Some things were better on the fords but not much.

Bluetooth audio. much better on the fords. the Hyundai has some static. I think it's a common issue and not sure if anyone has found the reason.
On my fusion if I turned up the heat to 90* it wouldn't start blowing until the engine temp is up. I liked this, but my wife's newer escape didn't do that. The reverse camera in the escape, the lines would turn if you turned. the Hyundai does not.
Auto down/up windows. The fusion had the 2 fronts, the escape had all 4. The Hyundai is driver side only. Literally my only gripes. Everything else is great. No electrical bugs, runs great, decent gas milage. On the white one. The black one has a larger motor and it's nothing to write home about but it's also a lot bigger and heavier.

I also love the no key/push start. What a great feature. So nice to just keep my key in my bag and never have to touch it.

The dealer on the other hand can suck a fat one. Took 10 hours the first day and 3 hours the second day to do the deals. Had to fight to get them to fill up both tanks. I couldn't for the life of me get them to get me a wheel lock key. They said they had it and couldn't find it. They ordered me a new set and the key is different. So I had another dealer take them all off for me at no charge when I brought it in the other day to fix a tie rod when I wacked a curb.

Either way no more fords, or ford issues! 2 trucks with 100k miles warranties and hardly any much more a month. Got them to give us an insane amount for our trade in's.

Congrats on the new rides.

If they have a USB drive try putting your music on a USB drive and using that instead of the Bluetooth. Typically vehicles will have better sounding music with the USB. Some more than others. Worth trying out at least. I stream music more than I listen to my limited music collection. So I get that.
