Congrats. Definitely really nice trucks if you don't need to do any serious towing. My dad has always had Silverados and F-150's, then realized all he ever tows is fishing boats or an ATV so he got a Canyon this time around. My only gripe is that the backseat leg room is a bit lacking, but if you don't regularly have backseat passengers it's not a big deal.

Those are nice trucks and look great. My boss bought the diesel version and absolutely loves it. Loves it way more than any of his previous full size trucks he's owned. He drives it around the country on his yearly trips and always brags on the 30something MPG's he gets. And it's been trouble free too.

Good stuff.

7k towing is getting into homeowner serious towing imo. The diesel (only available in CC) gets it to 7700. I grabbed the towing package and integrated brake controller so I'm ready for just about anything we would throw at it at this point and the near future.

I'd have been open to the baby dmax but you cant seem to get it in the extended cab unless you go zr2 which reduced towing from 7 to 5 and payload from 1600 to 1100...If I have my numbers right. MPGs are also significatnly lower on the zr2. And since this will pretty much be a mall crawler for my bradozer wife we just don't need to go there.

Thanks everyone. She is pumped, maybe I'll see the keys sometime in September!

So ends up with bye bye to the crazy #failfinity saga! I have more GMs in the driveway again, WOOT! I am now driving the GTO and MS depending on my mood.....

The backseat is a joke and shouldn't even be considered a seat.

Sweet! Congrats. Neat you factory ordered it exactly how you want it. If I did that it'd probably show up and I would've bought something else by then.

We bought it off the lot. I emailed every dealer in Chicago to find it exactly how we wanted it. (Basically it is a fully loaded z71) The wife's color choices were the hardest part (red and blue) coupled with they mostly sell Crew Cab trucks and we don't think those look as good as the extended cab. We don't have kids and back seats are either for our nieces or emergency.

September?

Oh I won't get the keys because they are FIRMLY in my wife's hands.... The truck is in my driveway and it is, in her words: "HERS"

The extended cabs look infinitely better for sure.

Plus the crew cab with the longer bed is pretty much a full size truck length wise, at that point I'm getting a 1500 just for the interior room.
