im hunting expedition portal currently and will report back

seems like they swing from this currently...

Northstar - Northstar (also distributed by Batteries Plus as the X2Power and Exide under the Northstar label)

now i just need to see which i can get cheapest...

remybattery i can get two of what i need for $510 shipped- discount code rbdc gives 10% off, then $42 in shipping.

northstar's website is going to be $519 and i can't find a shipping estimate yet...

x2 battery = $249.99 * 2 = $499.98 - 10% off coupon + tax = $483.73 - $30 MIR x 2 = $423.73

If that's the first upgrade for the Cruze, I wonder if you could us the biggest one.

Here's a good thread for my Cruze. My car uses a generic GM battery tray. Not sure if its from the trucks or not.

Cruze Battery Upgrade Options

the longer battery won't work for me, the drivers side battery is limited in that aspect

Been looking around. Batteries plus has the best option for an agm for my truck. 27F is the optional battery size on this thing due to the tow package. The battery in there now is 4 years old and only a 24F. Whoever replaced it cheaped out and didn't get the correct size for the truck. Looks like an X2 is what I will be getting. Unfortunately it is $310 of butt raping power.

it's cool write up, and neat how they did their testing. i wish diehard platinums still existed & were good cuz i would have gone that route.

Batteries Plus Bulbs is a fucking joke in this state. I called ahead to make sure they had the exact battery I needed, and they confirmed they had it. Drove 40min one way to get there. When I got there and asked for the battery, the guy said they don't have it and he was confused. What a big bag of dumbass. He even read the battery number back to me over the phone.

I called the other store like 50 minutes away and while on hold I could overhear a customer that just experienced the exact same senario in the different store. WTF. I guess I need to find a different battery because I refuse to give that store my business.

I get the Wal-Mart Value Power $48 1-year warranty ones and just warranty them every 11 months. Never buying an expensive battery again. They never test them or ask for a reciept, if the sticker says less than 12 months you're golden.

Also, if you forget to do it in time you can buy the stickers with the dates online for like 50 cents

Why did the thread go further than post #2??? :dunno:

Looking at other options for my truck. Not a lot of choices on a 27F battery as far as AGM goes. Pep boys has a Bosch AGM in a 24F and a platinum Bosch 27F. The 27F has a few more CCA/CA and the reserve on both is 120min. AGM battery is on sale for $143 and the standard platinum is $93. Both come with 3 year free roadside assistance.

Question is...the AGM worth it over the liquid? Even with a slightly less CCA/CA rating, is the AGM worth it? Truck fits both 24f and 27f batteries.
