Nintendo Switch (their new console)

Nintendo has been out of the gaming scene as a serious contender for a long time. They rely on their past amazing systems and games to keep them going.

64 was their last relevant system

Not interested

Zelda FTW though because that was my entire childhood

The wii and wii u were solid systems. They just weren't targeting the same demo as MS and Sony.

I played the wii for a bit, it got old really fast. Mario party is always fun as is Zelda but again those are decade upon decade old franchises.

I just feel after the GameCube they took a huge downturn while Microsoft and Sony took off. It went from a 3 way console war to only 2 now

Well the problem was they didn't want to play console wars and targeted mainly the younger demographic so their last 2 systems were grossly underpowered and lacking any major releases other then your usual zelda/super smash/mario games.

Supposedly the new system is suppose to at least put the graphics in xbox one/ps4 arena but it won't outperform either console.

I like the portability. I love the 3ds and nintendo is good with portability but just need to at least keep up in the graphics arena if they plan to stick around.

I think this can get some traction. Their handhelds are hard to beat. Now a handheld with the power of a console? We will see what happens.

I dont have many games, but I love my WiiU when I play it. Speaking of, I actually have Twilight Princess HD on the way. Windwaker HD was the shit.

Sega Nomad >Nintendo Switch

That thing ate batteries like Kardashians eat dick. It was pretty cool, even though I never had one. :hs:

It looks like the Switch is using the same tech as the DS/3DS for the games. Wonder what kind of storage capacity it will have for full AAA titles.

I am also not upset at ditching the motion controls.

When I was a kid I wanted a Nomad so bad. I finally saved up and rode my bike to the Best Buy in Arlington Heights, threw down my cash and bought one along with a 6 pack of AA batteries. I got home, played Sonic for about an hour and then the thing shut off. I thought it was broken. It wasn't. The batteries died. ONE. HOUR. I returned it and got a Super Nintendo Killer Instinct bundle.

I don't see what the appeal is for this system over the Xbox One or PS4. Doesn't the Wii U do the same thing?
