Ok so i know i am not a Grand Prix :( but i have a question. i have searched the net trying to find the best solution for my traction problems on my 2001 Alero which is Supercharged hince why i am here. i run high thirteens but i know i can get better if i could get better traction. when searching the net Hale's traction mod always seems to come up and i tracked it to here i believe. Can anyone help me out with this. is it available to public? where can i get it? would it work on the alero/grandam/monte plateform?
it seems as well that there used to be a lot of pics but they were pulled do to the fact everyone was coping it. so i am not sure if this mode is still avail or if anyone may be able to help me out .

thanks in advance

Hale will be able to tell how hopefully later on today. He is working all day and then and then we will be out for most of the evening. Hale can explain it to you.

Well, it's like this IIRC. You have an eyehole connector installed on the strut tower, and another on the swaybar end link...the endlink bolt is replaced with a forged eyebolt. You strap down the two points together to prevent weight transfer. I had something like this on the car wahile back, but never hooked it up before the endlink hardware failed. So I replaced it with stock, and never got around to re-doing it. I think J/O's is pretty close to what I had, but his used an adjustible arm to link the connecting points, and mine used a chain...clangity clang clang...

Yea used to have a ton of pics up, but no longer have that website space. Was going to build another site and put it on there, but just don't have time for the grandprix or website stuff anymore. Most of the parts you can find if you look around. The eye hook that mounts to the strut is a machine hoist eyelet. You can find alot of the stuff at McAllisters if you have access to them.

This is defiantly not something that you want to run on your car daily it will do damage. But at the track you are fine. I forgot to pull mine off one day and pulled out of US 41, which those that have gone there know the back road is a nightmare. Went over the tracks and then realized I still had them on. Pulled over and did no damage but the car's stock suspension sure didn't work right.

The middle part is just and endlink, but it can withstand 1300 punds, and the eyelet on the botton is an eyelet with a 6 or 7 inch threaded stud. All connected with 300lb capabilty quick connects. So that when something goes its those since they are like 3 bucks apiece.

When putting on it takes all of 5 minutes max to drop on at the track. And about 5 min to take off tops. The hardest part is drilling the hole for the top in the right place so that its easy to put on and remove.

I looked for pics on my computer but don't have any on this new computer, and the two or three kits I have are in storage. I'll see if I can head over to Pauls tommorrow to get some pics,or if J/O can find his pics. I had a price of 100.00 or something like that, but have been able to get the parts easier and cheaper. I think I ended up selling kits for about 75.00 apiece thats for both fronts. I'll get some pics posted up this week for you.
