Also, I doubt he hit 165. I have been up to a little over 155, and it was completly out of control, brakes hardly work, sterring is so sensative. forget the knock issue, it's all about the ability to control at 165.

Plus, honestly, if he was driving that fast, he deserves to get his license taken away. It detracts from other people, who like to casually drive fast. And it's also a menace, that someone that reckless would drive, and endanger our families.

My only comment would be that when I went to the dyno day last year, Johns car topped out at 155. Wouldn't higher speeds be do able on a dyno rather on the street? I also remember SNM's tires would wobble really bad when his got over 135 most likely cause that was past their rating.

True, but the ratio is less than one IIRC in OD. So at 155 the transmission goes to 4th, or OD. It would take literally probably at least minute and a half to get from 155-165. All that time at that rate of speed with who knows what kind of tires, reving the engine that much, and trying to maneuver the roads.

Im from Rockford and i have a 00 gtp that is slightly modded. I have only seen GTP PWR's car that actually races and maybe a coulpe others that looked like they had exhaust but thats it, so do you race much?

85% of the ppl on here race and a majority of them have 13-12 sec cars.!!
We just are not stupid enought to race illegally on the streets and brag about it in every thread!

Plus most guys like to play it safe and race at legally sanctioned tracks at events or race days!!
