RE: An INTENSE tale - Long Read (in reply to GPAddict)

WHOA...Excel:

"Before this gets out of hand, I would like to issue a statement.

It is true, as the legal owner of 3800tech.com, I have redirected the DNS entries away from the hosting owned by INTENSE. I have not done this action with vindictive intentions. I simply long to put this portion of my life behind me, and with the current events surrounding INTENSE I no longer wish for my name to be associated with any aspect of it.

If I really truly meant to harm INTENSE and/or Scott Cook, I would have put up a huge page about all of my gripes, etc. But I have not chosen to do so, and will continue not to do so.

This was simply the final item left to do in my housekeeping, and although it was a difficult decision to make, it's one that had to be done.

I apologize to those of you who have lost a good information resource. "

I am glad this came out and I hope it continues in a respectful and mature manner. I agree with Chris Green not wanting to be associated with that Train Wreck and as long as he is the legal owner he can do what he wants with his domain name. I think he mostly did the right thing. Let's hope the other vendors step up to the plate, like Charles and DHP have, and fill the void and do things better than they ever have been done.

From my perspective from "life as a flamer", i think this will really reduce the "flaming" going on.....

The major problem has been that a certain company has done whatever they could to fuck over just about any other company (or individual) that was in their path. Then when those that were wronged would try to warn the masses, no one wanted to believe because .....
Hey I ordered xyz part and it was shipped within 30 minutes so they must be good.

People who didn't know were equating things such as quick shipping and quick responses to mean that the company was top notch in every regard and that everyone else was just a whiner for one reason or another.

Yes, I'll admit, the "flaming" as some put it has been pretty, well ...., intense the last year or so, but that is ONLY becuase of the level of BS that was happening BEHIND CLOSED DOORS. IF you people only truly knew the level at which this guy operates. . . . . .

However, the problem for a certain individual now is that he finally hit "critical mass" where enough people (and some of the RIGHT people) have come forward to shine the proverbial flashlight on the cockroach.

Now that this person has been exposed and the word is gettign out about some of his practices and shady products, there will be far less "flaming" as there's no need to try to get the general public to see the light.......

I do expect some temporary "counter flaming" by people lookin to try to distract the real issues by coming out with bogus threads to make others look bad (and i'm not sayin that every other company is "perfect", because there are no perfect companies).

Once that resides (shouldn't take long), I think the grand prix community AS A WHOLE can get back to the point, making our cars fast...... Once again there will be some collective work between many different groups ... DHP, ZZP, Big Jeff, CG, and others for sure!

It sucks it all had to come to this at all, but as some one else said previously, money (and control) DOES corrupt people and that is what has happened here sadly.
