I am pretty positive my prochamber doesn't even have mounting holes for o2's to go into....I wish it was something that simple....TJ, Chris with the 2V had the same issue last year. He needed to get o2 sims and a tune to pass

Ok...so what town county does not have emissions that I can register my car in?
P.O. Box you say? Lets just say I failed emissions last year and have exp. plates.
I'm not positive but I don't think you actually need o2's...the simulators just plug right into the connectors/harness for the o2 sensors I think
yes but if you don't have sims....
It is my understanding that he turned off my rear o2 sensors, I'm sure he asked me and I said 'yes'. At the time, I was running some off-road pipes. With the o2 sensors turned off, you would pass emissions because the car isn't throwing any codes.
But now they are testing to see if the o2 sensors are turned off. If they are turned off, it is an automatic fail. That is what I believe is causing me to fail. I just need Tim to turn them back on so that I can pass emissions.
You are doing it wrong and wasting your time. You do not drive the car more than 3K miles per year anymore. Just get a different policy and do the Show Car Exemption.
Just curious from a budgeting stance, but how much did the show car policy cost compared to the regular version for the car? Is it that big a jump in cost? I know it all depends on policy settings before and after, but generally speaking, what is it?
I am not sure because when I bought my car it went straight on the Show Car policy from Hagerty. I pay $400 for full coverage for the entire year.
That's not bad at all. What are the deductibles, if you don't mind me asking?
So I talked to Emissions place today, even if you haven't passed your emission test you can just register your car to a new area without emissions and you'll automatically be exempt from emissions.
I did however call Jessie white office and asked if you can register your car under a P.O. Box number and you can not. It has to be a physical address.

I don't believe this. My mom registered her car to a P.O. box last year. Hassle free.
lol at the explorer
not lol about the performance, but not sure if any state workers review the show cars applications, if they do, they may lol at the general aspect of explorer being show car.
i'm going to be applying, have a 2013 so not sure when the first emission notice will come by my rear O2's are tuned out, not sure if they are only detecting ford or GM too now.
GM / HPT perform this in a different way than Ford / SCT does. Basically Ford / SCT actually turns them off per se in the tune which is why they don't report a MIL but also report as "not ready" in the tests. Since you can only have one minor system check as "not ready" and still pass in IL, having both off will fail. In HPT for GM you keep the MIL/SES enabled for them but set the error mode to "3-no error reported". This is what allows the GM cars to still report their O2 sensors test as completed but not throw a MIL error for it. The key in the GM tuning is to make sure that the SES box is still checked to allow the SES to occur and then set error mode to 3 so that it just never shows up. If it is done differently then you won't pass emissions.
