I should have it somewhere Rog. I'll PM/post it when I find it......I also have the Tolein(tow-lean) cant spell anymore formulas. When me and my friend broke it down the tolein and gas mix wasnt to far off the price of just getting 100 octane. Plus who wants to store a 50gal drum of this shit in there garage.

I think using an alcohol octane booster is better than the other octane infuencers due to the cooling/physical propeties it as it is atonomised. Sort of like water/meth injection but with fuel......My therory....Gas city...$3.50 a gallon though.

I was mixing a 1/4 tank of this with abot a 1/4-1/2 of 93 and running a 3.25" in pretty stock form with 0kr.......If you do this borrow a scan tool so you can monitor your KR after you fill. How much you blend it is going to pend on your mods and abient temps. the hotter outside run more 100 or less 93 and monitor your blend with a scan tool.

The first time you do this run your tank down and put atleast a 1/4 tank of100 in. Drive it around for awile so you PCM learns the fuel sooner then add some 93. Then go from there monitoring a scan tool to get your mix right.

IT works.....

I tried this a while back. Really did not work as well as Torco.

And Torco is cheaper.
Torco a mix/additive or just a fuel brand? Ive always had success with the the Gas City 100 octane..Sorry you didnt have the same results Alex...What happened? How did you do it...Did you try running it straight for awile or is the Torco a better blend? 104?????

Where can I find the Torco fuel? I'd like to try it. How much?

Sorry about you co-worker. Not only is the kinetic energy a danger but alot of asshole drivers Ive seen out there got to make your job interesting. Who would like to brive a bomb around all day?

yeah i feel for all the tanker truck drivers out there.. not many people know what can happen if one of those things flip or crash... It sucks working so close to so many chemicals and sometimes I just want out of my job for that alone. But I am in the office and we have a really good fire and disaster evacuation plan. :)

Well I have read about using toulene/xylene for a long time.

SO I decided to try it out. Ibought some from a paint store. I mixed a 1 gallon jusg with 5 gallons of 93 octane. This should yeild a 100 octane mix.

I beleive the toulens cost me 10.55 for a gallon jug. PLud 5 gallons of 93 ocaten was 1.79. With this set up I was seeing 2-3 degress of knock.

Using straight 100 octane from Gas city I was getting O knock and better timing advance.

I had the same result using a can of TORCO. I added1 can of torco for 15.00 dollars to 93 octan gas.. Which yeilded me 105 octane. PER TORCO's direction.

Wth this set up I saw no knock and some advance in timing.

But thr problem with any OCTANE booster is it wrecks havoc on your plugs.!!

I still think good old 100 octane is the best way to go.

If you think its bad for the plugs you better believe you 02 is begging for mercy....

You have to be very cautious about what your pouring in your tank...It may not immeadiatly fog your 02's but whith any consistant use may destroy them not to mention you injectors.

Thats one of the reasons I like the 100 GC fuel....It uses methel alcohol to induce a higher octane level. Just as 93 does. But in different %'s respectively. Secondly, I also believe there cooling benifits of the alcohol.....

So yes its $3.60 for G.C. 100......Lets break it down. 6 gallons of 100 G.C. it is....$21.60..ouch

$1.79 X 5 + $10.55=$19.40 a couple weeks ago for 6 gallons

$2.40 X 5 + $10.55=$22.55 now.....for 6 gallons.

Im still hazy on the Torco....How much is in a can? I dont believe in canned boosters.....Its definitly a volume thing...And you dont want to compromise you componants..aka Plugs, squirters, cats, and 02's...

Thanks for the info everyone. I have 5 gallons sitting in the garage which I got for $0 and thought about using it last weekend. It ended up that I ran out of time to concoct anything before Rt. 41 and ran with 93. :asskick: Guess I'll go with some 100 octane instead next time out and not risk plug fouling or a 02 sensor issue.

Torco isn't an octane booster. It is race gas concentrate

From ZZP's site:
This product is not an octane boost, it is a race fuel concentrate that transforms a 93 octane super no-lead up to a 104 octane race fuel when proper mixing instructions are followed. This is an unleaded product. After adding to your gas, it will still be unleaded. It will not harm your O2 sensors.
