They have these wonderful tools called tuning software. Lets you do all kinds of whacky shit like turn off CEL's. I pass emissions like a bauce!

Cough, cough.....you have a Gm, that's why.....cough, cough...

Yeah, I am sure that my Explorer will have a hell of a time passing emissions when I finally get around to getting her back online. That one will have to register as a show car.

This is not the case anymore. The ILEPA will fail you if you have a certain number of systems listed as "Not Supported". Now if it is just turning off the rear O2's you might be fine, start getting into more than that and it will be very difficult. If you do not drive the car that much you can file for a show car exemption through the ILEPA.

Slightly more difficult to do the whole show car B.S. The require you to have stated on your insurance that the vehicle is only driven to and from show events. Not sure how that would affect the insurance but if something happens at a time when there is clearly no car show around you may get boned hardcore monitary wise as far as damages

Sounds like someone needs to LSx swap their ford:s00ls:

Staying with this one; has things like Oliver billet rods and such. ;) But if you want to donate the one from your car just in case I need another one, I would be happy to have it to piss the other Ford guys off with! :jg:

just for you guys though. the gm stuff is still passing okay.

Fords got fucked, as did some Mopars. I know a shit ton of guys that had systems shut off via CMR, or were running the FACTORY stage PCMs and got railed by this.

Thats what I run. Its just a spark plug non-fouler drilled out to fit an 02. Pretty old school trick.

Exactly what I do every time I'm due as well. Plug a ton of shit in, screw in my Rear O2+ Defouler, reset the PCM and go for a long drive. Good to go. :bigthumb:

Read the fine print. Nothing states what EXACTLY a CAR SHOW is.
Technically anything as of SHOWING OFF the vehicle is considered a CAR SHOW. Yes I have gone this route before and you will need pictures to show of the vehicle in car shows or actually like I did was borrow a trophy and take a picture of it on the car sitting around other cars and BAM, DONE DEAL.
