I think you need proof or residence for like 6 months or something. Plus your drivers license has to match. At least that's how it was when I tried years ago with the trans am. Instead I just did the waiver and put show car insurance on it. Thank god there are car shows every day of the week in summer.

really?

registering in wisconsin took absolutely nothing.

I brought a bunch of shit but they needed my name, address it was being registered to (which they didn't verify whatsoever) and what car i was registering.

And I really don't think your drivers license has to match. My cars have been registered bunches of places I didn't legally "live" in IL...

Get a good tuner? My dad has an 07 supercharged Mustang that wouldnt pass. Found a good tuner and no problems since. Plus runs better haha.

This is not the case anymore. The ILEPA will fail you if you have a certain number of systems listed as "Not Supported". Now if it is just turning off the rear O2's you might be fine, start getting into more than that and it will be very difficult. If you do not drive the car that much you can file for a show car exemption through the ILEPA.

this exactly for the ford stuff.

there have been a few threads on this where getting a ford to "pass" has become more difficult...

Just put high flow cats on it so I don't hear your old ass bitching about the fumes or it's to loud..........blah blah blah........you're old.

It comes with probably the highest flowing cats you can get. The problem is:

1: They wont last long at 700-800rwhp
2: I want the exhaust to sound good, headers get you there
3: You're a douche nozzle

Why not add a swappable piece after the long tubes? Swap in cats a week before emissions, swap out with a "test" pipe afterwards. They do it with imports all the time

This.

Infact, most header companies also offer their x pipes in cat/catless that have the cats/deletes bolt in.

I know pypes and I believe stainless works is like that.

I've got it figured out. Mustang Depot sells an 02 device. It's not a simulator in the traditional sense. It screws into the rear 02 port and then your 02 sensor screws into it. It's essentially just taking your rear 02 sensors out of the exhuast stream and making them think you still have cats. :fy:

Thats what I run. Its just a spark plug non-fouler drilled out to fit an 02. Pretty old school trick.
