3800 my new cam

wooohooo...Yesterday Snoop (Sean) and a couple others helped put my new INTENSE 1X cam in my car.....After along day and night we were done with that bad boy! Snoop is by far the man and for sure knows our cars....his dad gave me shit all day but is cool as hell....thanks Malaka for helping and that atap that saved my ass cuz i forgot to hook up the IAt sensor when putting the airbox back together LOL! Well it was well worth it...i would easily watch snoop do another cam any day he is really good at working on cars now i cant wait to go to the track :lol: a big difference not hearing the rockers working that i gotta get used to thats the only whine i ever had :lol:

Did you replace you timing chain as well? How much is it for the whole new timing chain and gasket kit for the install?

I didnt replace the timing chain but i did buy the cam install kit from intense for 59.99 and i think the timing is 199 but not sure on that one i didnt replace it...its by far worth it if you have the money!

why didnt you replace the old timing chain?


Some have told me it is wise to replace your Water Pump while your in there?

Is this smart to do as well?

i really dont know john I pretty much went thru all the deatils and about 50 emails with intense on what i really need....I have a high stall torque convertor as well this is what is needed for my cam....We took good care of the timing chain dont know who you got your info from but i know all cars are different...

Dont you need more then just the timing chain also?...besides the gaskets and fluids?

the timing chain you can get from PRJ or what ever they are called for like $200, and the cam kit you can get from just about any vendor out there.

We had to replace the timing chain on my v6 mustang.. it was kinda pricey cause ford did it lol!

I believe in the Intense install kit you can get the timing chain gear and tensioner not sure what they charge though.
