72mm side. This isn't ported yet, once it is ported it's going back to the machine shop for final CNC mapping. I've got 3 on the bench to do; '99 GTP, '99 GT, & '97 GTP. Once these are done, the 75mm TB will get started. Just an update...

Looks good Ron, but...what about the outside?
You mean bead blasted? I just got the bead blaster, but I have to build a cabinet for it yet. [/b][/quote]
Is that what you have to use to polish the TB? the outside anyway?

It would take a ton of time to polish the outside. With all the little nooks and crannies, I'd say like 10 hours of work at least. Bead blasting gives them a "fresh cast" appearance, and it's actually blasted with glass media via high pressure air. To polish it has to be sanded from 80 grit down to 600 grit, then buffed. It's possible to anodize it once it's finished, but I have no idea whatsoever on how much that would be. Once I get the time or an extra core for myself, I may get one Jet-hot coated with the sterling coating, or chromed.

90mm??? Wow, didn't know they made them that big. It's obviously custom, so it's prolly already ported. When I have my mod day, you could swing it by and I could polish it on the inside, it would probably only take a few minutes to do. Got a pic?

Won't have it for a while :( After my last batch of mods ran outta money heh...

Actually I think the 90mm TB itself is still a month or two away from being released... it's an addon for the LSX Intake Manifold (new intake manifold for LS1s...even better than the LS6 intake)... cool thing w/it though is they offer the intake manifold w/stock, 78mm or 90mm openings! :D

Edit:

Just checked and turns out the 90mm one is shipping now

It probably is already mentioned, but is the GT also 72mm?? If so, I can see a ZZP stage 1 GT TB up for sale soon. :D
Nope, the GT is 67mm. I'll have pics by the end of the week. It's a little on the conservative side because the GT's are NA. Even though the GT's have a thinner shaft than the GTP's do, it's still getting thinned. The 67mm bore will flow the same as a 70mm bore with a stock shaft.

Awesome, I don't even want to know what that would cost. You're kidding on the polishing right?

heh yea after lookin at the pic looks like it [polishing] won't be needed...

Price wise it's actually not bad... not much more than other aftermarket LS1 TBs... (like the BBK one) ... ~520 ... but the intake's a biatch... almost 900 bux...

but sure looks purdy
http://www.thunderracing.com/images/LSX.jpg (and it's already got provisions for direct port nitrous injectors... and has optional burst plates just in case there's a little nitrous backfire)

Hrm, if it flows better, it doesnt really matter then. I would be willing to test at a race day if you like. Compare it to the ZZP stage 1.
