3800 What was I thinking???

OK...... I think I have slipped into hell!!! I installed DSL earlier this week, and well, I think I went a little crazy!!!!! I went and bought a wireless network for my 3 computers. SO... now I can surf the web from my office, laptop and garage. I know..... a computer in the garage??? Yeah, so I can still chat with you guys and ask for help when I do something stupid with my car!!! Of course, I still need to do some tweaking on the network, but I'm lucky I made it this far. Last night I thought I was going to throw the laptop against the wall a couple of times, but I made it none the less!!! :huh:

Yep.... I went nuts!!!

Now I need to save for all the mods I want for summer!!!!

Stop me before I do that again.... winter boredom definitey set in. If ti was summer, I'd never have done that! <_<

Hey Jack, I to have a wireless set up off from cable access. I have my wife and my computers hooked up in our offices and I have an additional node for my laptop to go anywhere around the house...and garage. A friend of mine came up from med school with his new laptop. He turned it on and a few seconds later it stated that it had configured itself to the wireless network. I decided to play hookie from work and game a little all day.

yea wireless is pretty sweet.. Especially if we actually join the IRC chat.. so when you are working on mods you can talk to one of the experts on stuff. Enjoy it.. as for me.. im WIRED!

Well, the only thing I don'tlike about wireless is that anyone can connect until you create a MAC password, and I don't know how to do that yet. I'm still tweaking it, but it's gettting there. Whew!!!!! Wireless is awsome though!

So, TheAutoGuy, how's the LSD??

The LSD is the $hit for finding traction in this snow! It was kind of cool doing a couple little duelly burnouts too.

TURn off DHCP. And give your 3 PC's atatic IP addresses. That way it will be harder for ppl to grab your signal.. Since DHCP is no longer leasing out addresses.

Cool!! I'll do that! I'm still learnign what the Dynamic and static IP's do. Right now... "It's Magic!!!"
