3800 Whay exactly is case learn

I have had PCM work before and I never had a probem with it working. Is that just lucky?

If you have Charles flash your stock PCM and didnt remove it, you dont need a case learn. I asked the same question when he did mine.

I got a serious question.. If someone gets there pcm flashed by Charles and say you sell your car are you able to sell that or no cause its not something that can be taken out? or ...

Its programmed into the PCM. The only way to keep it is to swap it out. Then you would need a case learn.

if you have had your PCM replaced PHYSICALLY with another PCM you should get a CASE learn done. Alot of peeps have run fine without out it.

If you have DHP flash your PCM WHILE it is IN the car, no CASE learn is needed.

If you have a DHP PCM in your car and want to sell the car, you CAN pull the PCM out and sell that separately. However, you WILL need another (stock) PCM to put in your car or it wont run . THAT new PCM will need to have a CASE learn done to it.

a CASE learn tells the PCM the position of the crankshaft. It is used as an input for timing and fueling issues.
You can get one done by Charles. You need to have a Tech2 to do it.
