3800 AUTOTAP Needed

Well for a couple of days now service engine light comes on and car Idles rough like it wants to sputter, but its okay at WOT. Has anyone had this experience before? Need some advice on what to do. Thanks Lee

Lee I think that Hale has Jeffs atap right now ...you could prolly ask hale to do it for you! He is working days now so hale has a different schedule now! FYI....

Thats what I was thinking, also never had the plugs change since modding the car. probably a good thing to get changed at Mod day or before if she last.

plugs would be a start at looking into your problem, you said its at idle then i'm sure it could be your plugs going. I could be wrong though.

lee, i live in lisle. i just got my LS1M. I am going to go get a seriel cable to use it tomorrow, so if you still need help on saturday let me know and we can meet up.

imo it sounds like an O2 sensor. the computer is supposed to just richen the hell out of the mixture at WOT if there is no good O2 sensor working, but at idle you will get a surging idle and it will try to die on you. That would explain why you have no problem at WOT. if it was a plug or wire you would probably idle just fine, but it would miss like crazy under boost.

anter problem could be the idle control sensor gummed up that happens alot with our tb's
