THATS ABOUT RIGHT, BUT FOR THE SUPERCHARED PEEPS OUT THERE, WE RECOMEND EVER 15,000MILES, AND WE SUGGERS CHANGING YOUR TRANNY FLUID EVERYTIME YOU CHANGE YOUR OIL, NO FILTER, BUT JUST REFRESH FLUID. i ACTUALLY CHANGE BOTH OF MINE EVERY 1,500-2,000 MILES BECAUSE OF WEAR FROMT EH BLOWER.

changing the trans fluid every time you change the engine oil is a bit extreme. the trans is a sealed system, and does not get contaminated like engine oil (because of combustion).

this info comes from gm...... www.mygmlink.com (neat site for keeping track of your car's stuff)

Automatic Transaxle Fluid and Filter Replacement
Change both the fluid and filter
Interval: Every 50,000 miles

I would go with 30-50k then. 30k if you beat on your car a lot, and 50k if you drive like a normal person all the time.

WTF, dude they want you to blow your tranny then, i grew up in a Trans shop, i know what pressure we put on these trannys, especially with mods done. Call me extreme, but I beat the fuck out of my car, neutral drop, run 5k rpm in 1st, 2nd, neutral rev at speed, and mine shifts like a dream, while a lot of guys dont even do that much shit to their tranny and it blows up. Mine has been beat up for 1 year and i put over 25k miles on the car and it now has over 75k total.

Yeah, in fact I may do it with you. It really isn't hard...take off the pan draining all the oil that are in it, take off the filter, put on the new, put on the new gasket and tighten it up. Only difficult thing is trying to not get trans fluid in your hair as you lay down under the jacked up car while you're unbolting the trans pan.

just don't unbolt the pan and let it drop! that will result in a big mess. you need to loosen the bolts on one side more than the other, so the fluid can drain out of one side. i'd help, but i won't be there, but there will be plent of people who know how there to guide you though. it really isn't that bad, just takes some time.
