I graduated with my degree in Finance like a month and a half ago and I can not find anything- I mean there are a couple of jobs posted online here and there but I have only got one response from applying for them! I was just wondreing if anyone else is going through it or has any advice because I am getting discouraged :( B)

Got to pay the price to be the boss...

What's realy messed up is that there are people out there like me. I work with 3 people that have MBA's, and the same title as I do. I didn't get my GED until I was 27, and have about 20 credit hours at COD. I have been working my way through since I was about 17, taking a lot of crap jobs, but I make about 30K more a year than any of those 3 people with MBA's. God I love America!

I have a job but am always searching, I get lots of call backs. I apply for jobs even if I am not 100% qualified hoping maybe they will like what they see on paper and call to find out more.

Never hurts to apply for jobs that you aren't always 100% qualified for.. they aren't going to laugh at you just not call you. Worth a shot right!

You're gonna love this...I sell Precious moments figurines. I took the job as a lark, since the job I was at, was going nowhere. I spent 13 years in the printing industry, and now I'm selling giftware! I used to manage multi-million dollar print jobs, inventory, and oversee quality, now I tell people how much better the Mother's day program is than last year. It was definately worth the risk of changing careers though. The most I ever made in printing was about $40k (and that's with putting in a lot of 70-80 hour weeks). I work 9-5 only and have doubled that. I try and switch jobs about every 3-4 years to move myself up a rung, but I've been pretty happy doing this. Personally, I'd like to get into compters or music retail but the money's not like it used to be there, and the hours are too long.
