I just installed my ZZP HV insert, and I gasket sealed it to the block, as well as the upper intake manifold. This shit holds strong, and I was wondering if I needed to ever separate it for the cam...if so, my god it will be a huge pain in the ass.

Also, how long do i have to let that sealant dry for in about 60* weather? ZZP recommends about 8hrs, and someone on here said about 24hrs...but it seems strong after 12hrs (its been 12 so far). Can I run my car? I'm anxious?

fish was 24 hours i believe
I did wait 24 hours. :D I was really anxious as well. I had 3 people telling me no and I was saying the same thing you are. "But ZZP says 8 hours" I think 12 hours should be good, but if you really dont have anywhere to go, I would let it sit. Its one of those just in case things. I really wouldnt want to take the plenum off and reseal both sides again. Did you order from ZZP or INTENSE?

Yeah it came with longer bolts, but I was pissed that they were hex! I used german torque specs because my torque wrench can only use sockets...and I didnt have a hex adaptor. It felt like 8lbs.

I also heard that you have to remove the upper and lower intake to do a cam. Why? I have no fucking clue, unless it makes it a lot easier to take apart the valve train. The reason I ask this is because of this:

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/209197/8 -- removed the intakes.
http://www.clubgm.com/img/cam/engineapart.jpg ---- same deal

I really am assuming I have to take that out, but I'm not sure it WILL come out after the sealant. I wonder if I can just take my lower intake off without unbolting the rest of my intake on top of it...only a screwdriver, patience and a ton of work will get that thing to come out.

Soooo, anyone willing to install a cam for me for $400 :(

How did it turn out?? Any leaks?? Dont go getting too fast on me. I already have antpearl to catch up with. :D
No leaks...rockers will be at ZZP's door on monday, and then he can send the cam, pushrods, springs and retainers.

This cam and DHP should put me into the 14s (charles lives like not even 5 min from where I'm doing this cam swap), then my headers, cat and cat-back should get me into the mid 14's if I had traction. Wheels and tires are next, but I'm skeptical considering those are gonna be more expensive than....anything I put on my car.

Instead of headers, get ported manifolds. Alot less money and flow great for our cars. Glad it turned out well.
I have a deal I just cant pass up for new headers and a hi-flow cat. Besides, if this turbo doesn't go through, I'm still looking to push high 13's when I'm done with the car.
