id like to remind everyone to be especially safe this winter and wear their seatbelts. also, promote others to aswell. this reminder was spurred by an accident i saw on the way to lotr3. the car was flying down the off ramp, went into the grass where the wheel caught into the soft dirt and flipped the car upside down, the car continued to flip once more sliding thru a 6 lane road where it came to rest on its hood in the onramp. the airbag deployed, the seat belt held him in the car, despite his incohearance and blood. he had no obvious lacerations. prolly spitting up blood from stress to the abdomen.. he seemed strong enough to have survived that. the seatbelt held so well... that he was suspended upside down when i got to the car. i turned off the ignition as the radio was blasting. another fellow was on the phone with 911... and in minutes they had officials on the scene. god only knows what might have happened to this young man had he not been wearing the seat belt.

i beg all of you to wear that seat belt! these things happen out of no where, this wasnt the snow's fault as there was no snow. i think just poor judgement. i was to far away to see the whole thing... just the last part.

please, where your belt. it will save your life one day!

I feel naked without my belt on. No matter how far I am driving, I always put it on.

Hope it doesn't snow/sleet/rain until after Sat. I am driving home (about 300 miles) then.
I feeel the same exact way... must run in the family. Feels like nothing is on... and something is terribly wrong. Good thing huh? :)

It's nice to see so many people have enough common sense to put their setablets on. I for one never drive with it off, but speaking of scary stories I saw a van full of kids yesterday on my way home from work and none of em had their seatbelts on. I wanted to pull up to the driver and give them a piece of my mind. Even if u find in uncomfortable, it's not worth dying for!

I always were my seatbelt. I feel naked without it too.

I guess in HS, id were it, but sometimes not.......sometimes it was that cool thing ya know?

But know im smarter and a know a little more about simple Physics.

I one time was involved in a 8 car accident after a MIchigan game in Michigan on the expressway.

I did not hit the car in front of me but everyone else did. I got rear ended too.(some off yo may remember my bumper hangin off my car for about 7 months till I could finally fix the insurance situation)

I know that had I not been wearing my seat belt, Im not sure if myself, and my older brother in the front seat would be alive. Let me tell this to all begining drivers. SLowing down from 70 MPH to 0 as fast as possible is not fun, nor, easy to do. You may think you can stop, but your really cant. All I remember was the incredible amount of force exerted onto my chest/lap/etc from my seat belt when i stopped, then, the guy behind me hitting me doing about 35 mph!!!!!

The impact of him hitting me is beyond words. It was a ton of force. I remember looking over at my brother who weighs 325 pounds, and watching his legs/neck and arms fly around form the impact.

Surprisingly, his car was FUBAR (broken radiator, flat tire, bent rim, airbags deplyed, crushed front bumper, hood, sub frame and engine damage). It was almost 20k in damages. It was declared totaled. My car only had a bent trailing arm and messed up bumper.

It hurt like a mother fucker. Luckily my little(300lb) brother in the back seat was buckled in to because if he wasnt, he wouldn have flown into the back of my seat at 70MPH too......quite possibley hurting the crap out of me. Many people dont think about a seat belt in the back, but remember, in a accident, they will continue to travel forward at the same speed the car is traveling. OUch!

Just were you seat belts and be safe.
