16psi to 18psi

Your dyno tuner can tell you when you have it tuned for 18 psi if it needs more fuel or not. If so, then you need a fuel system upgrade. If not, then you are set.

That's why I posted my fuel setup to see if I was good to go with a pulley and a tune. I am sure there is a way to know if I can handle it without making a 90 mile drive to hear "You need to upgrade first."

What kind of motor is this? What RPM are you spinning the blower to at max engine RPM? How hot are your intake temps? All these things play a role in this...

Also a d1 on 16lbs in ANY setup is seriously pushing that injector. I use 80lbers with my D1sc at a little over half the boost you do, since my 60s were just about maxxed out.

60's are good to 650-700rhwp. He makes a little over 500.
And his intercooler is way too small. He knows this.

That depends on the motor and fuel type, on a 6 cylinder or 4 cylinder 60 won't make that much power, I don't think the guy knew what motor he had, he didn't see what section it was in I guess lol

Oops, I usually look at new posts and didn't notice the section. Sorry about that.

If you're intercooler and fuel system are undersized, upping the boost is a really expensive idea since it will probably cost you an engine.

Out of curiousity, this is a D1-sc? 16 psi and only 500rwhp is normal for these motors? Where is the bottleneck? Not meant as a jab, just curious.

Its a low compression Cobra shortblock and Auto trans.
507rwhp is a great number for this particular car.
(especially on Mr Norms dyno which seems to read REALLY Low)

If this car has already been on the dyno, there should be a record of injector flow to know if it is out or not. Is there paperwork? How about a datalog of IAT's?

If Norm's did the dyno tune, this should all have been laid out when it was done. Was this info not passed on?

He has plenty of injector.
the Intercooler is way too small for this combo.
His FP duty cycle is very high, even with a BAP.

I think I said all of this already.

More then a few I recall. I just recall when you got it tuned youwas kinda suprised that the pump wasnt enough. It was a 400lph if I recall? Is that correct.

As for Norms Dyno I know this 1st hand aprox 5 months later after intial tune, put my MM on a Mustang dyno. Just to see what it would show, 3 pulls & between them it had a +9rwhp to a +15rwhp but all 3 had a 4-5ftlbstq lower then Norms. Also considering it was about 95 & humid vs Norms 65-70* day/dry so all things considered if it wouldve been identical conditions It would prolly be somewere around 15-20hp On the different dyno. However If the lower number on paper is the trade off for a excellent tune Iam good with that.
