Diagnosis: frame bent, cowl and firewall crumpled in spots, wrinkle in the roof and wrinkle in the drivers side rear quarter.
Car was totalled, but no way in hell was i sending it to heaven.

Fast forward to yesterday, when I finally got it to the frame rack where my buddy worked miracles.
After we squared it and blocked it to the rack, this is the view of the passenger tire. Think the frame is bent??? LOL!!!

Its hard to tell by the pics what was done, but seeing it all happen in person is sure convincing.

Frame is now straight, cowl pulled and re-shaped.
All doors are in perfect alignment. I have every single part but the fenders to start re-assembly. I have to save some $$$ for the paint job, but im essentialy in the home stretch now.
So friggin excited and glad I saved this car.

So you're gonna build a turbo 4.6 and then swap in an LS motor with a turbo? Man, you like working on shit. That's a lot of work to get it up and going just to swap it out. Good luck!

Im doing the 4.6 first because

A: I can use the kit on another car if need be
B: I could run into unforseen problems with the LS Swap.
C: I made a promise to have it done by next years Kentucky meet in April. I will not fail!

I'm interested to see what you do on the headers. I made a set earlier this year then abandoned the entire project. There was a company I found that made a header that's pretty close but the primaries were only 1-1/2"

Shit im not making headers. Im gonna use a Ford manifold.

Not gonna lose sleep and get stressed over the few HP I might gain with tubular headers.

Agree on that. End up with a gain that wasnt worth the time $ & trouble. I think I mentioned before that Frame damage appeared to be approx a half day for a good frame guy, Glad to see making progress.

You're gonna replace the windshield too, aren't you?

BTW, I'm real glad you saved the car, too. I'd HATE to lose a charter member of the Blues Brothers... :hs:

Glad to see it's coming along nicely. Good on you for fixing it, I'dve taken it out back and shot it.

Why are you trying to drive the LS motor with the Ford PCM? The GM harness/ECM is cake to set up as a standalone unit and very easy to tune for F/I.
