I've decided to quiet down the TA and clean up some of the exhaust racket. Current setup is Kooks 1 3/4 headers with Kooks ORY into Magnaflow catback. I'm looking for input from owners and possibly sponsors to see what's the better choice and if I'm missing any options.

Option 1: Have Magnaflow bullet cats welded into existing Y, and flowmaster merge to replace Kooks merge. Parts are $250 plus fabricating costs.

Option 2: Texas speed (TSP) catted Y pipe ($350+shipping) Unknown fitment on Kooks Y and it's aluminized steel. Has bullet style cats and much better merge than the Kooks crappy merge.

Option 3: ????? Any other options to quiet down the car? I like the idea of cats to get ride of the exhaust smell. It was nice for a few years but I want to be able to take the car somewhere nice and not smell like unburnt fuel.

I would go with option 1. I have had a flowmaster merge welded in my old TA, cost was like $200. With the cats it should sound good. I got ARH catted Y in my new TA and a magnaflow cat-back and its quiet.... Actually too quiet for me so I find myself running with my cutout open more often then not. This is just a bolt on car though, idk if ur cammed or what im sure that makes it much louder.

Bru, to be honest, I thought my buddies LT+ORY+Magnoflow was high pitched and raspy.

Single chamber flows sond nice but they drone soo much in the car. I had them dumped then ran them out the back and it was still killig me. I went to sweet thunders instead. they don' have a low bass rumble that sets off off car alarms but they will not not kill you with the painfull drone at 2600 rpm like the single chamber Flows do. With a 4000 stall in he car it sits at 2500-3000 a lot.
