1991 Mazda 929, $600, Loaded, Leather, Sunroof, V-6.

Car is a silver 1991 Mazda 929 (Luxury Flagship)

It is a DOHC/24 Valve V-6, RWD car, Leather interior, heated seats/mirrors, power and econ engine modes, sunroof, etc...

Car needs assorted TLC (minor exhaust repair, some assorted electrical crap, most has been fixed)

all power options seem to work *windows, seats, sunroof*, but the only 'major' fault I've noticed is that there is an electrical issue with the OD button (The 'OD light is flashing, not going into 4th) I suspect something stupid that I'll figure out tomorrow, and it could use a new PS belt tensioner (new belt, still loose)

New radiator, new coolant, fresh oil change and filter, new air filter, new serpentine belts.

$600, Drive it home.

Reason for sale is simply that I do not have a garage, so I don't have the time or space to figure out OD issue with the bad weather upon us. (Worst case scenario it needs a 4th gear solenoid, which can be had for $40, and doesn't involve the trans being pulled) and to clarify, the transmission shifts PERFECTLY, Just doesn't like 4th.

Check the trans fluid level. A guy at my work had a 626 that had the blinking OD light, it turned out the trans needed fluid, he never fixed it, just kept topping it off whenever the light would blink. Drove it like that for MONTHS.

you know what, I never checked the fluid, I assume since it shifted fine 1-2-3 it wasn't the problem.

Thanks for the tip, I'll take a look tomorrow, I'd shit a brick if that what it was.

BTW the transmission is the A4LD I found out... It looks like its the same transmission in the ford exploder...

this is gonna sound like a shot at you but it isn't, so don't take it as that..

but if you pulled the car parts out of the car for the inside pics and vacuumed it out a little bit, and took it through a cheap car wash, it'd attract a little more attention..................

POSSIBLY.

those parts were from the car when I was making it nice. I'll snap some more later, but I do agree that photos like that do not help.

A running $500 car should go pretty quick, I think the trans issue is leading people away.

I agree, There is a ranger I think I am passing up buying because of even the potential that the transmission was damaged at one point... Ahh well.

don't mention the transmission issue. when they take a test drive be like "it does that when it's cold, i have checked the internet and with various mechanics. all of these cars do that."

/sold.

That's called Fraud, and is punishable by law.....

The issue is almost certainly the 4th gear solenoid which is a known issues, and various mechanics have made mention of it to me. Because the ECU is tossing a light, it means its an electrical problem *aka sensor, aka 4th gear solenoid*, not physical fortunately.
