Actually, friend of mine last winter had both Blizzaks and some kind of Dunlops he borrowed until he got the Blizzaks, said he never had a problem. I guess anything was better than his bald drag radials though, heh...

Yeah those work great in the snow. LOL!

I have Dunlop M3s. Not too pricey and work fine. Only H rated so 130 is top speed...

dude buy a winter beater for 500 bucks and garage the stang. for the price of winter tires you could buy a winter car. why rust your new car all up?

If you have to drive all winter, it can be done easily. Goodyear & Bridgestone both make great "winter" tires for these cars...just get a set for the rear and be carefull. The F1's are actually an all season tire, but don't really allow the stoping power of a snow tire. If you got the money buy all 4 but don't play hard when it's dry, they don't make spped rating over like 110-130 for obvious reasons.

In 2 previous Mustangs all it took was a good biting snow tire for the rears and they drove fine....stopping is tough though so you need to be cautious in slick stuff. My 91 LX came with a Michelan XGTZ4...those tires were all I needed, no snow's for that car.

I just put the alpins on the rear of my cobra tonight for the snow they say is coming. I have continental extreme contacts in the front.

Blizzacks are also killer snow tires.

I put my snow tires on this morning. Just in time... Get out of my way people! It's only a little snow. There are people out there today doing 30 in a 55.
