Where do you guys put your sports threads? Here?

Anyways, Bears traded two 3rd round draft picks to Miami for Brandon Marshall. He reunites with QB Cutler for some hopefully stellar receptions in 2012. His contract is currently through 2014.

Congrats to Emery and the Bears on FINALLY acquiring a WR1 for Cutler to throw to.

This could be an interesting year. The Bulls are also trying hard right now to pick up Gasol.

Im glued to twitter and ESPN waiting for some sort of news. If Bulls get Pau (without giving up the world) lock down the championship.

Im stoked for Marshall. Him and Cutler worked together before so it should be a great pickup.

Unfortunately, looks like Williams may go to Buffalo. According to tweets, they are prepared to make him the highest paid Defensive player in the league.

On the plus side, Bears just signed Jason Campbell as back up QB. One year contract. Huge improvement over Mr. Haney.

Bears are now going after Jacksonville's Jeremy Mincey (8 sacks in 2011) Not as explosive as Williams but cheaper and still a good player.

Vincent Jackson is signing with Tampa. Reggie Wayne is staying in Indy.

How is Cutler going to get the ball to Marshall if he's laying on his back? The Bears still haven't addressed the offensive line problems.

Considering they get Carimi back and the rest of the line settled down once omiyale was benched and now cut. Not saying it is amazing but for how often it changed and with the injuries it wasn't bad.

Supposedly, Williams is still in the market. He's now supposed to leave Buffalo and talk with another team. No mention of which one.

As far as O Line help, threre are two prospects the Bears may be able to get with their 19th pick. Forget their names at the moment. One was the best Guard this year and protected Andrew Luck. The other would have been a top ten pick but his arms are short which is supposedly an indicator of talent (Welker isn't fast enough to be a receiver. but he does OK). Since we all know the Bears need O Line help, I'm sure Emery does too.

Marshall has existing problems since he apparently punched a woman in the face outside of a night club. The commish could issue a suspension.....it's a waiting game.

I agree, Cutler can't pass from his back.
I'm not putting any eggs in the Carimi basket since he has had knee problems.

Williams will likely sign elsewhere

and i doubt the bulls will acquire Gasol ( lakers asking for an arm and a leg )

Anthony Herrera, OG (cut by Minnesota for salary cap reasons) is visiting the Bears today.

Two college O linemen I was thinking of are Riley Rieff who is the Tackle with the supposedly too short arms. Would have been a top 10 pick in the draft if his arm length was longer. May be available at the Bears' 19th pick in the first round. Other guy is a Guard who protected Andrew Luck. David DeCastro. He's supposedly the best interior O lineman in the draft and should still be around at pick 19.
