Oh and LOL to a ranger getting the same gas mileage as every minivan for the same given year. What would you rather spend hours and hours in? A bare bones pile of shit pickup truck or a minivan made for moms to haul kids around in?

Also a minivan has the ability to have the cargo INSIDE and easily loadable where a ranger would need a bed cap and those suck trying to get things out of by yourself not to mention shit would get banged up in the back of a steel truck bed vs being on a carpeted floor.

i can honestly legitimately say i would much rather drive a stock minivan than a stock 2wd ranger. sorry.

and dasfinc. you are delusional. no matter what car you own or is your one past car... aka when explorers were the SHIT from you, or civics, or turds or airplanes or blah blah blah. they are always teh end all be all to any persons needs or desires...

vehicle that gets 30 mpg and is quick RANGER

vehicle that flies like a helicopter RANGER

VEHICLE THAT CURES AIDS RANGER

Dasfinc has to be the biggest nut swinger ever on this board.

So anyways Mike I'd suggest looking at newer vehicles with higher mileage instead of older vehicles with less mileage. I think the mileage penalty is worth the added tech/reliability of a newer vehicle.

I would much rather have a 2004 van with 50,000 miles on it then a 2009 van with 100,000 miles on it, due to the fact the newer van is definitly been beat on terribly in its short existance. I have worked for fed ex driving such vans and I can tell you they go very far overdue in oil changes and maintanace. the older low mile van had a much softer life and if driven by a soccer mom, oil changes were done religously, from my experiance working at a quick lube when I was in high school. plus there is no big jump in tech or fuel economy going from a 2004 to a 2009.
