Sounds like this is a mechanical issue. But this is also a good reason to learn how to use the powertuner its great in "helping" you fix emission issues.

I am not a teacher, and I have not used a PT in years. Goto the website and read. If you cant figure out how to read the PCM, scan the car (interpret the scan), and write the PCM you shouldn't be driving a modded car. Actually "tuning/making adjustments" can take some skill and time to lean but you need the basics first. Take the thing to a mechanic to get it figured it out.

Lots of people cant tune their car. Do you think Mook is gonna tune his Cobra? So I guess he shouldnt be driving it either then ehh?

Tuning is a skill that alot do not have, I understand that. I am talking about doing simple tasks with the PT like reading and writing the PCM even if you didn't make any changes. Using it to scan (like check engine codes) is nothing but a few mouse clicks.

For sure. Ill give you that. It is easy as hell to scan for codes, and if anything, google the code and it will tell you what it is.

PANDA, I know how to read and load the PCM. I know how to scan it also. Mikes3 showed me. I dont know how to tell if something is off or what is wrong.


The codes are 403 and 405.

What good would that do? My car would still cam and try to die. I dont think you guys are understanding what the hell im talking about. As always you point to the god dam tuner. That is NOT the issue. The issue is the car will NOT stay running. The fucking intake goes crazy, sucks a ton of air in, the car CAMS, I dont have a cam. Ill just pay a shop to look at it. Thanks for the help.

It sounds like you have a massive vacuum leak somewhere. My car surged like crazy like that when I had a vacuum line by the TB disconnected. Seems like you're not very tech savvy. They are simply tellin you to use the tuner to pull up DTC's, not do a full blown tune. Turbo400's question regarding the EGR would be a good starting point seeing as P403 and p405 are EGR related.

Yep my car did the same thing at one point. After a pass at GLD it started to idle like shit and sound like it had a "cam". After a bit of troubleshooting we figured out it was just a huge vac leak. I set the idle to 1500 and drove home. Few days later RVR said one of my supercharger bolts came lose.
